Here's gamespot at its best now: talking about another so called disaster and trying to place themselves right in middle to cash in on the ridiculous hysteria they help facilitate. Gamespot isnt responsible for a single game i own in my library of over 200 games. Back 10 years ago their opinions used to matter to me, but now the only real disaster here is what this site has become. I get this picture in my head that they are a plane that is on a slow decent out in the Pacific Ocean and is bound to crash very soon. Instead of focusing on the issue at hand the Captain informs the passengers that Donald Trump just drank from a bottle of water during a press interview after he blasted someone for doing the very same thing during his campaign.
Your plane is about to crash and burn in the Pacific Ocean and all your passengers (supporters:PS4 fanboys) are either going to be floating on some plane seats or drowning, nows not the time for a political debate.
As to the matter at hand i've already put 30 hours in Battlefront 2, it's a great game. Just like Shadow of War where i put in 300 hours in spite of the mass hysterias surrounding that game being PtW b/c of MT's, I can assure you it not PtW. And B2 has given me plenty motivation to keep playing and enjoyment to earn all my unlocks without droppin a dime in MTs all the while getting FREE downloadable content.
Gamespot has become the poster child for the self entitled. The sad thing is they aren't even entertaining while they do it. I can even stomach You Tubers like WaB scathing review because he makes me laugh, even though I 100% disagree with him/them they can at least be entertaining. Gamespot has no class or talent these days. The videos here are boring to watch. It's like they pull their talent from skidrow in LA. Finding anyone they can to throw behind a mic a slap a headline on it with the lastest gossip. This is truley the gateway to the upside down, someone call 11.
What saddens me is they just don't stand their ground. They've adhered to the system that allowed their most dedicated players who just want to pay full price for the base game but also get $40~$50 worth of a free season pass at the expense of players who WANT to open their wallets either for a slight insignificant edge, to cut back on the grind or for the thrill of gambling. All the while the person who is hard pressed for cash gets the expansions for free while the company can still make a decent profit and still cover overhead and licensing fees. All the ignorant cry babies are fools for not seeing this as a win/win for everybody involved. None of the critics (gamespot included) or all the fools on reddit who are on this witch hunt against this so called, imaginary, anti consumer practices have ever produced me a game. Most are just parasites feeding on the host to survive who just want internet fame or write click bait articles for add revenue. The only thing the parasits produce is malnutrition for the gaming industry by sucking the life out of it and saltly tears when they kill of their host.
Battlefront 2 is just an amazing game and worth way more than $59.99. They should double down and just sell it for what its worth. Just say, "we'll take out MT's but the base game will cost you $124.99+$69.99 for the season pass. End of story, you don't like it, don't buy it." And if that killed off the game then good, at least they went out with a bang and made a statement instead of slowly getting strangled to death by ignorant parasitical cowards. That won't happen unfortunately. What's more likely to happen is EA will just kill off the Battlefront franchise without a noteworthy bang, instead they'll just unplug the life support like they did with Mass Effect: A. All you keyboard warriors are hurting games more than MT's ever will.

Bah, to hell with gamespot's arbitrary numbers they put next to games these days. They just reflect back what ever the loudest voices on the internet are at the time of release. I don't mind when MT's are in the game and its the reason I get free maps that i dont have to pay for. Also, its fair when they put a lot of content that needs to be unlocked over time because on the one hand you got guys like me who can play 15 hours a day that get it all for free, but on the other hand you got guys who work 12 hours a day with only a few hours to play that might enjoy the rush of gambling. Besides all that though, the game is dam pretty and fun to play, leagues above the first.
Gamespot recently gave Shadow of War a 7 after playing it for a meger 60 hours which was hated on for MT's. I've got over 300 hours in that game and its my GoTY without the use of MT's. Gamespot doesn't represent games, they are more or less the official voice of the cry babies of the internet.
I got a LG C7 oled 65" for my XBX, its almost breath taking how amazing 4k/HDR games look/perform. It was a rocky start this gen but i feel like i went all-in on a game of poker and came out with a royal flush. How these games look/perform went far beyond what i was expecting. No buyers remorse here, i'm 110% on cloud 9.
@ice-milk: eh i guess you didn't get my pun, lol. Like, that guy is "stupid" good at MMA or in this case some PC players got "stupid" powerful rigs. I guess i'm too dam old. These days kids say thing like 'crispy' 'frosty' or 'sweaty.' I was just seeing if there were some old farts who got the pun :P
But an any case with the PC it's doesn't always pay to be that stupid but you'll have to pay the most to be that stupid. feel me brah
The XBX isn't for the brand loyal cows who are in complete hysteria over the fact the crown of the highest quality console gaming experience is back with a brand they love to hate.
