@DragonRift People put together a Kickstarter, other people invested in it. It's a video game convention that's open to all, there's no separation going on, so what's wrong with that?

@RoadStar1602 I'm pretty sure everyone at Gaymercon will be playing games too, and I'd have to imagine they'd be enjoying doing so (or else what they hell would they be doing there).

Nothing is being politicized here. Some people started a Kickstarter, other people donated to it. That's pretty much the extent of it. If mono-legged fiddle players ever start a Kickstarter for a video game convention of their own, I'll donate to it.
