Nintendo has not concentrated on "very high quality" first party games. M.O.M. lol? No Mario worth playing since Super Mario World. No Zelda worth playing since Ocarina. Nintendo has been nothing but a string of bad fan fiction updates to all of their titles and some really underwhelming consoles. To the point everyone stopped caring. The reason why the Wii was by far the weakest console this generation was because Nintendo went so far in the hole after the terrible N64 and unspectacular Gamecube they didn't have the money to take the same risk that Microsoft and Sony did with cutting edge technology. Depending on how the Wii U does the first couple years Nintendo could just pack it up.
