@iceman200004 *Difference... However, how can you even game on an old TV like that? I got rid of my non-HDTV in 2007 because I couldn't play some games on the 360...
@ahpuck @ESPM400 Unlike the people filled with religiosity (how is that a word..?) that knock at your door, PC gamers are right. It's not an inferiority complex when you're better than the other person, it's actually just egotism.
Have fun in your console war. I'll be watching from the sidelines...
From a musician's standpoint, I can safely say that I play old videogame music purely because it's some of the most fun music to play (especially on the keyboard/piano). Hell, of my personal favorite songs to play, 'Battle with Gilgamesh' from FFV is still my number one choice. Followed by 'Right Now' by Van Halen (not VG music) and the classic Mario music (the original 'Zelda' theme is somewhere in the top ten).
Aside from my own personal affections toward old VG music, there is also the fact that MIDI audio files transfer very nicely into sheet music (with programs like 'Noteworthy Composer'). Since there are some very authentic MIDIs of old VG music, and MIDIs are free, it becomes very accessible to those looking to play it.
