[QUOTE="Kahuna_1"]

[QUOTE="Toriko42"]You guys all owe me an apology. What did I say! I said MGS for 360...! You all called me crazy! Toriko42

You said MGS4:)..right? Haha.

When it was found out that it was MGS5 I said, ok MGS5 is coming for both I guarantee it. Find my post around page 40.

MGS5 wasn't announced either. You were wrong dude. You didn't "call" anything, unless you called a Raiden-based MGS that nobody had heard of until 5 hours ago. You called MGS4 to 360, and you were super wrong. That's fine, but please don't try and shove anything in peoples' faces because you made a random guess that a MGS would hit 360. Half the forums on the interweb predicted an MGS on the 360. What do you want, a pat on the back? Kojima is making more announcements tomorrow, and MGS5 is the rumor there. Do you want to reaffirm your belief that MGS5 will be multiplat, because when its announced tomorrow as a PS3 exclusive you can be wrong again. Up to you. Denied.

Wow, it's obviously not an exclusive. Microsoft debuted the first details on Metal Gear Solid Rising at their E3 press conference this morning, but there's a reason Microsoft wasn't bragging about this Raiden-starring adventure being an Xbox 360 exclusive -- it isn't. "You know, we didn't say that it was exclusive," clarified Xbox executive and corporate VP John Schappert (he was the guy hosting most of the event) during an interview with me immediately following the press conference. "We said that the next Metal Gear will be coming [to Xbox 360]," he said. "I couldn't be more excited about him [Kojima] working on that [Metal Gear Solid Rising] and having that be part of our show," said Schappert. "When I heard about that, I was pretty ecstatic and it was an honor to be able to be on stage with him and announcing his next Metal Gear, which will be on Xbox 360." Of course, Schappert wasn't in a position to announce where else Metal Gear Solid Rising would be appearing, but could series creator Hideo Kojima be pleasing everyone by announcing this latest work at one conference, showing it at another? We'll have to wait and find out tomorrow morning at Sony's E3 conference. And thus, the waiting game continues. Usually I hate these Sky is Falling threads, but you are totally, 100% right. Valve isn't known for this kind of sheistiness. I am guessing there was another backroom deal with MS, as there have been countless times this generation. This is not a conspiracy theory, these types of deals happen all the time. All the DLC, timed-exclusive or stolen exclusive stuff is because of deals MS makes, it doesn't just happen by accident. Why Valve?

The MC is dying out there.Cherokee_Jack
It could be worse. Watch Jamie Kennedy for Activision a couple years ago, MY GOD its sad. I actually kind of like Jamie Kennedy on that X'd show he used to have, but after watching that I might just have to kill him if I ever met him.

[QUOTE="Toriko42"]So wait, Multiplats won E3 for MS before Sony and Nintendo went? And yes, MGS was never confirmed exclusive LINKEVOLV3
I love how he's like "MGS to 360 I told yall!" as if MGS Rising is the same thing as MGS4. He was saying MGS4 would come to the 360, which was dead wrong, so he leaves out the 4 and says he called it. LOL Nobody even knew this game existed until this morning, but he's been telling people it would end up on 360. That's some Nastradamus stuff right there.
[QUOTE="terraskwad"]a great game that makes me cringe every time i think of playing it.Cherokee_Jack
No such game can exist. :|

Exactly. It's a paradox. If a game makes you cringe everytime you think of playing it, it cannot be considered a great game.

You are truely blind, if you really believe this is an eyetoy rip off. The eyetoy just tracks your movement on screen. It does not let you actually take control of objects. It does not have face, or voice recognition. Natal is light years ahead of Eyetoy...MortalDecay
Wrong. EyeToy lets you control objects as well. Who remembers the duck video? There is a video where some Sony guy is using the EyeToy with a build of Super Rub-A-Dub to move ducks and water around. He has two plastic cups in his hand, and he uses the plastic cups to scoop water and pour it back into the tub in the game. This was years and years ago now. They haven't done anything with the technology but its clear that it exists. The closest link I can find is this Gamespot article: http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/16/news_6124681.html (I can't link it because I am level 1) It's kind of a funny little article because it talks about how PS3 was rumored to have "Minority-Report-esque motion-sensing capabilities", and the article is 2005. 4 years later MS reveals basically the same thing and it somehow revolutionizes gaming in an instant. MortalDecay, just what do you think differentiates this Natal from other cameras? It is a webcam, just like the EyeToy, unless I'm mistaken. How the software interacts with the camera in terms of facial recognition is obviously quite different, but at the end of the day a camera is a camera.

I think it's the most hypocritical thing I have seen in quite some time. The Wii always gets bashed on forums all over the internet for the whole motion concept and how its kiddifying games etc., but apparently the Natal thing "Wins E3"? Uh why? I can see if they mean from a business standpoint like "yeah MS is going to take on Nintendo!" but for actual gamers who care about games, it remains to be seen if its even worth plugging into a USB port. I think after the relatively bleak year the 360 has had and is projected to have, that people are grasping for something, anything, to be considered a megaton. That's not to say the show was bad, it wasn't bad by any means, I give it a B so it was actually great... but all this hyperbole about MS winning E3 before it even begins is a load of BS, especially based on motion controls which were just a lame Wii gimmick as recently as THIS MORNING BEFORE E3. I just don't get how people can do a complete 180 like that and not feel like a hypocrite.

[QUOTE="Ego-testicle"][QUOTE="gago-gago"] Yup. It has potential. Besides, is Epic.terraskwad
Yep. For an XBLA title too it has phenomenal graphics. Cliffy B is kind of a bunghole, but at least he put on a good performance (minus the mic screwing up). Some of those other guys were so nervous I felt bad for them. Now was I the only one who felt that Kojima getting on stage was the most awkward moment of the whole show? The other two guys just seemed like they were forcing it so much. Like hey Japanese boy join our frat cuz you have the best liquor hookup on campus, but we still don't really like you. I just felt they tried to inject enthusiasm into it that wasn't really there, so it would seem like more of a megaton. They should have gone harder on the theatrics. I would have darkened the amphitheatre, played the song from 2001: A Space Odyssey, then when it ended, segue it into "The Best Is Yet To Come" as Kojima comes down from the ceiling on a platform with an angel choice singing and smoke machines going nuts. Then when he hits the floor, MASSIVE pyrotechnics as a huge MGS flashes on the screen behind them. That is how I would have done it anyway. ;) Imagine what kind of a megaton that would be heh.

whoa whoa whoa, just because epic made it doesn't mean it's gonna be good. Epic has a VERY, VERY, VERY bad record when it comes to lag, matchmaking, glitches, exploits, etc. GOW2 for example, 3 title updates and not only are there bugs that were there since the game began, the "updates" created new bugs on top of that. let's hope an arcade game is less complicated and they can get a game right on the first try for once.

Eh? I didn't talk about it, I just agreed with the other poster that it had potential. Sure Epic has screwed up, but they are also responsible for three of the highest rated games in Gamespot's history: Gears of War, Unreal Tournament 99 and Unreal Tournament 2004. I am far from an Epic fanboy, but Cliffy B working on an XBLA game is pretty high-profile, and even then I didn't say anything to hype it up aside from the graphics looking great for a downloadable game, which is undeniable. I agree with you that even though it's Epic it could still be a turd.

I found it strange that no one seemed to want to applaud or anything. I think there were some games already announced that got more of a reaction from the crowd.

I know, right? It's almost like the 360 fans there were confused... "it's it's... the enemy!!! Are we going to kill him now? Public execution?" Maybe some of them have been downplaying MGS4 for so long and talking about how overrated it is and how terrible Kojima is that they couldn't cheer for him without losing some street cred. There should certainly be more fanfare for Kojima walking onto a friggin MS stage, thats for sure. They should have done it in the majestic way I described. :) Kojima on Sony's stage will probably get a standing ovation. I just thought the whole thing was awkward. The way the guy was like "Yeah... yeah? YEAAAAH!!! CLAP CLAP CLAP" like he wasn't quite sure, it reminded me so much of Kaz Hirai going "Ridge Racer... ya? RIIIIIDGE RAACER!!!!!"
