I can't believe there are people out there that would think otherwise.

I believe in evidence. No evidence? No belief in gods. If there were evidence I would believe but I still wouldn't "follow" any gods anyway.

I completely disagree. It all depends on the game. If it's E rated game? Yes? I would say you are correct. If it's a T rated game? Excessive swearing? Yes, probably. M rated game? Not at all. There just happens to feel like there are a lot more M rated games I guess. Then again the average gamer is in their mid twentites to mid thirties from what I hear.

So far I've had no problems with BF3's community. Only good things. I personally think that's a good tactic to destroy whatever you can if it isn't being driven or piloted. In real life no military would let an oppurtunity like that pass up in a crucial battle. That's just my opinion. As for MW3, I'm not sure because I got it but haven't opened it just yet. I will today and I will try to see about it's community later. But I've had some trouble with immature people in Call of Duty games. Though I love the games themselves. I'm sure when I play it I'll love it, but the community I hope is better than in the past.

Well for one game developers are having to make sacrifices to the games they want to make.

Say they have some ambitious plan laid out for a new game they're working on. They really want to make A, B and C work within their game, and create the game they set out to make.

They discover that due to the incredibly small amount of RAM they have in the console, they can't have the game world as open as they'd like and have to separate different areas with loadscreens and possibly cut out massive chunks of it altogether.

They wanna make a visually stunning game, with crisp textures and give it a lovely smooth finish. Again, they find out it's not possible to recreate these kind of things on a console without having negative consequences in other areas of the game. Or maybe it's just not possible at all.

I could go on and on. Underpowered consoles are crippling all but the most talented of developers and it affects YOU. Becuase you are not playing this amazing game that they had planned, only a stunted, dumbed-down version of what it could have been,

I agree consoles need more ram. But that was an issue last gen and no one this gen addressed it and we still were able to play many great games this gen with massive worlds. There are also plenty of games I could mention that are gigantic in scope and are great games. So developers can make great games, they probably just aren't up to it. Kind of reminds me of the guys at Ubisoft and Michel Ancel. They seem to think all they need is new hardware and they would have more creativity. When they need to learn to more creativity with the hardware they have on the software front.

My thoughts exactly. But with all the rumors going around, I just don't understand why companies and consumers may want them to put out new systems so soon. It may have been normal for consoles to have 5 years or less lifecycles in the past, that doesn't need to apply to these or any other future consoles that may be put in the same position. I understand why Nintendo is releasing their next gen console early. The Wii motion novelty has worn off and less people are buying it now. The console doesn't have very good online. It doesn't have HD and the graphics are just a little bit better than the Gamecubes'. So they have a lot to gain. But I hope after they release the Wii U, that they address all of these issues and don't release their next next gen system after 5 years.

Basically my question is the same as my topic. What is there for Microsoft or Sony to gain by releasing their next gen consoles to gain before 2014? To me they have consoles that produce games that look beautiful. There is no need to release new consoles simply for a graphics boost. At least not before 2014. Microsoft doesn't have much room on their discs compared to Sony's PS3, so there is something to gain if Microsoft released their next gen console with a blu-ray player. But it doesn't matter that much because you can still play the same PS3 multiplatform games on X360, it may takes a few discs, but it's the same great experiance. So why are people pushing for new hardware right now?

I'm for online passes. I buy games new. If Online Passes help even a little bit in getting the money to the people that made the games and published the games, that's where I want my cash to go. Not to some store that's profiting off of someone else's work.

I completely agree. At least not until 2014.

I think Killzone 2 & 3 did it best. It's completely hudless until you need to know how much ammo, health and stamina you have.
