@Liquid-San @Emerald_Scott

Well, to be fair, I wasn't hoping for such a change in story or gameplay, so I wouldn't agree to that example.

What I wanted was simply difficult options. We could have a "For noobs only" option, and they could have their "For die-hard fans only! No new players 'cause you're noobs" option. The harder difficulty would be the original difficulty as intended for the fans, whilst we would still get our own.

I just don't wanna be killed in two hits. And I supposedly the game has no checkpoints. You can't save at any time; you have to get to a save point, which when you do and save, enemies you had killed will re-spawn. That means you have to plan when you think you really need to save 'cause you might not have enough stuff in your inventory to deal with enemies in case you wanna backtrack.

@The__Kraken But that's just saying you want a game that will not allow you to finish it. What if you rage quit and pull your hair out? What if you turn into a dark soul? Pun intended. Well, that would be interesting.

@guitarist1980 How hard would you like the game to be? If you were the creative director -- having played through Dark Souls -- what would you change or add in Dark Souls II?

Would you add a mechanic (which is affected by the console's clock) whereby something can happen to your character if you take a long break (say 3 days) after playing the game? Perhaps the character using up a lot of potions (or food. I dunno, I haven't played the game) or maybe implementing dynamic levels where things can change (for the worse, of course) if you take a break from playing the game.

What would you do?

@Assemblent

Thanks for that explanation although I've heard it a few times before. And yeah, I know the rewarding feeling of success. I typically play games on the second hardest difficulty on my first playthroughs.

And yes, I also understand why the game needs to be hard and challenging. It's just that I mostly play games to relieve stress and to enjoy them even with some challenge.

I wish I had the balls like you guys to play this game, but from what I've heard, it's a game that doesn't wanna be played. :P Apparently, you lose all your equipment and items when you die and enemies re-spawn when you save the game, right? Also, when it's paused it's actually still running, so you could get killed by enemies, eh?

So I guess strategising carries over into real life, eh? -- Planning food and pee breaks; and preparing for calls from the wife/girlfriend. ;P

@Voice_of_Wisdom @Emerald_Scott That sounds kinda ignorant. It's like me telling you not to play certain games 'cause they're not for you, which I'm sure you'd find a little annoying to hear.

@DieMyBride @Emerald_Scott I'm not hoping that it's made easier. You guys could have a "die hard" difficulty option while I could enjoy the game on medium. Or do you think die-hard fans would switch to easier difficulties? Even if they did, they would still challenge themselves to complete it on harder difficulties.

@bonzaibillie @Emerald_Scott I don't like that kinda thinking. And it's not that I don't like it, I just wanna try it out but I've already heard what it's like.

Why won't they add difficulty options for this series of games? That would make everyone happy. I would be able to play and so would the pros.

Just you, lol. :) Okay, kidding. Personally, I haven't felt that, unless you'd like to expound on your point. I'm getting Halo vibes obviously. I guess what you feel is the epic scale of a story's setting, which is how one would feel about Star Wars; thus giving you that impression.

@Saketume @desauce Some honest people do and it can get frustrating for them when people like them for their looks and don't focus on anything else such as their souls or personalities.
