2:07 - fantastically voiced character? No, judging from the previews I saw, the voice acting is easily one of the worst things about it and it's an opinion many people share. And those things on the napes of their necks are really distracting. I wish more work had gone into the voice acting.
That said, it has a fantastic premise. Perhaps it should've been a film or a miniseries.
I haven't played it yet but I've read quite a lot about it from both sides to have an informed enough opinion about it, which is why I haven't yet bought it. It would've been nice to play the game but I couldn't take a risk on it.
As I've just said to another person, I won't continue this discussion simply because I don't think we'll reach an understanding when most are passive-aggressive towards my point. I mean, what I had wanted wouldn't have in any way spoilt your experience of the game. And even though die-hard hards would've been tempted to reduce the difficulty and finish the game, they would've still wanted to go through it again on hardest (originally intended) difficulty level with their new skills, like you said.
Anyway, I'll stop there. I'll finish off by saying that I do understand why you guys are the way you are -- yes, I get that it's meant to propagate a feeling of despair without you feeling like you have a way out.
But still...
Anyway, I don't wanna come across as annoying by keeping this up. I just wish some of you would say, "Okay, I get your point." Besides me writing all this won't affect the development of the game. I simply wanted to voice my opinion.
Alright, I get it, man. I get it. Although I don't agree with your comparison. What you wanted for CoD was in fact a fundamental change in game design since implementing tactical play would've been like designing an entirely new game; whereas I just simply wanted a difficulty option which would even just simply add autosave points.
Anyway, I won't keep up this discussion since the fans are just being too stubborn. But yes, I get your point -- it's about the experience.
@Krogan_Ballet Oh, sorry! I think it's souls, right? I don't know. Isn't there something you lose when you die? I heard something like that but I don't remember where from.
I guess Super Meat Boy gave you sleepless nights, eh? ;P
I might pick Dark Souls one day when I'll have all the patience in the world. :)
It's not that it's broken, but it does indeed screw you over at every turn. The fans have their reasons for defending it even though I'm willing to bet my life that most of them must have found it unreasonably difficult at times.
