[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"][QUOTE="lusitanogamer"]Don't get me wrong, i'm a huge RE fan and i'll get RE5 regardless. I just find myself thinking sometimes, if Dead Space allowed you to move your character while aiming and managed to maintain great tension throughout the whole game, why the hell can't RE5 do it? Solid_Snak3Xx
Lol, Dead Space was so dam easy, IMO...tension, what tension? your weapons were way to powerfull to even notice it, moving also helped kill it, because you could move back while shooting....which made it easier. Play RE4 on Pro..that wasn't easy. RE5 is even harder.

Re5 wont be harder, but more frustrating :s the characters movement is just too slow

Guess you didn't play the demo...so what if the movement is slow, what do you expect from a huge dude with 2 rifles equipped to his back...want him to run super fast the whole time...WOW, thats realism. pacing is fine and it makes things even harder, since dogding isn't easy...when u have so many of them after you.

So, just because a game is easier, it can't have tension? Dead Space's tension was built upon atmosphere. I felt the tension while i was playing the whole game.

Sorry, i didn't feel that way...BUT, the sound effects were dam good in deadspace and thats about the only thing that gave some tension...being able to move backwards and shoot with such powerfull weapons kills the tension. Unlike RE5, accuracy is key and timing your reloads....try reload a sniper, while someone is chasing you....now thats tension and i love it.

[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"][QUOTE="lusitanogamer"]And i don't want it to be Gears. Considering the ammount of enemies that attack you at the same time in RE5, i just think it would be a lot better if you could just have more flexibility with your character.lusitanogamer
and kill the tension? RE5 is just right, the way it is....who moves and shoot, when trying to kill something? Its more realistic...especially when it comes to accuracy. The addition of strafing is good enough and you can always quick turn and move around. The game gets enough **** from retro fans about it being to much like an action game...moving and shooting would be even worse. Atleast this way, its like the classic re's and how it persevered tension. Nothing more freaking when a chainsaw dude is after you, while your reloading a gun....its all about timing and stragedie..not just mindless shooting. RE5 creates more tension than the 4th installment, thanks to needing to watch out for your buddy, not just yourself. There is less ammo this time and MORE enemies.

**** yeh, We need more RE5 threads. As for the 60fps....Not surprising...Capcom are masterminds, and RE4 was considered one of the best looking games last gen. Not only do the explosions look insane, but the trails of fire, dust, particles are just as impressive.

on the page there is a zoomed out shot of dom's backside. you can already make out this if you got any closer what it would look like.

the screenshot from the blog

Asim90

Hahaha, PWNAGE....should have thought of that. You see, from the distance, it looks good...but you can tell, ONCE zoomed, it will look bad. Which the blog points out and what i'm trying to tell everyone. Keep in mind, these are 720p HD shots. And since its a PIC..they are still, unlike on TV when you keep moving so its easy to miss it. The blog dude, also states gears 2 is better. He has NO reason to be bias, especially since if the textures weren't loaded, you would see NO detail what so ever, but every shot shows some detail, just poor detail. Its accurate of what the game looks like, when zoomed in.

Also, people are just used to seeing PR shots of Gears 2.

Why are you so desperate to make everyone believe you, I can assure you that 99% of gamers probably don't care how a game looks when its zoomed in. When you are playing the game, that is what you see ^ and it looks fantastic, just get over it. Both games look great, stop trying to make one look worse then the other by some lame and desperate measure. Most games if zoomed in lose quality, but like I said, when you play the game that is what you see.

WEEEELLL DUUUHHHH. This is just a picky comparison to see which is technically better, VISUALLY...concerning character detail. Why bother replying here if it bothers you so much..avoid it, gsus. Most games lose quality you say? NOT uncharted...shows you just how much effort went into the game. Unlike the unreal engine and its cheap shortcuts to achieve certain effects. No one is claiming gears 2 is fugly.

[QUOTE="McdonaIdsGuy"][QUOTE="lusitanogamer"]I want to be hyped for RE5, but the fact that you can't move your character while aiming prevents that from happening.lusitanogamer
The game ain't trying to be gears of war.

[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"]I love when people speak too soon, they are all hyped over killzone 2 and other titles and think...RE5 just doesn't have that feeling....Once the game is out, you'll be like "WTF was i thinking, this games insane" As for the RE4 in HD, what sequal isn't a HD version of the one before it? its the same freakin game..and seeing how RE4 pretty much made shooters today standard with the gameplay persepective, capcom would be nuts to change it. The demo, shows much improvement over 4. PERIOD. As much as a sequal should, without changing the formula to much. finalfantasy94

Honestly I dont see what you see in improvements. I mean it looks better and..... idk. Iv played the demo hell I still have the disk. I just see more parasite people AI doesint seem as smart as 4 *points to chainsaw guy* and reused animations. Its still was a fun demo though.

Animations have been tweaked, they react according to the environments (smashing them through doors, against walls etc) Destructibility is another improvement...new added Melee attacks, extra tension (having to worry about your partner) Sharing system, swapping ammo, aiding your partner, Melee combo's....New weapons, levels, characters...etc. What else would one expect from a sequal? Look at Halo 3, its Halo 2 in HD...No really, the gameplay is basically the same, graphics isn't anything to brag about. Same with Gears 2. RE4 already changed the formula and made a huge leap, it was an successfull one, why would the next game Change again, after only 1 game did it? Capcom arn't stupid to change something so good, considering RE4's sales and score.

I'm not feeling the hype, but that's probably because I'm feeling the KZ2 hype right now.....maybe after it releases, then I'll be excited about RE5..._Brennan_
thats the issue here....once Killzone 2 dies down in hype and its out, RE5 will fuel it again. This happens all the time. There there, gamers....all in good time.

Im not used to seeing the PR shots of gears. Im used to actually playing the game. Most people here have said that the game DOES NOT look like that.

To bad most of you CAN'T read....the shots are zoomed in to properly see the detail. The above shot you quoted is what the game actually looks like, it might look at tad different, but thats because its a still shot, unlike when you play it. its easy to miss the bad detail, since its IN MOTION. You also don't sit REAL close to your HDTV to notice the bad detail. I've explained the rest countless times.
