It's quite well made and definitely has some new and fresh ideas, but I didn't like it that much. Maybe it's just cause I'm not into that kind of games.

Firstly, sorry if I'm stepping over the line here trying to create such a mega thread here when there propably is few of these already. If that's the case then gimme a message and I'll step back.

So, what's on my mind.. I got the idea from that stickied recommendation list up there. What I'm trying to accomplish here is a list of Wii games (both current and coming soon titles (excluding VC games for now)) listed by genres. Then the users here will pick the games from the list and give them + or - rating. Then we'll put all them together to put them in some kind of order, maybe by total numbers of + going down or plainly those with positive rating vs. those with negative one. That remains to be decided after we get some votes.

For now I'd like some feedback on the idea and later on I might (if you guys are showing the green light) list the games after which the voting may begin.

Kinda like the Metacritic list without numbers, and formed only by Gamespotters and most importantly by genre, just so the people won't go "Yay! Harvest Moon seems to be better than FF Crystal Bearers, I'm getting it" and then upsetting themselves seeing those games quite won't compare.

A bit of criticism here. Not only does Wii have titles that fall into different categories and have different audience, but also there are kids' games and games for more mature audience. I'd like to see more detailed list of the games. Of course I could plainly list all the genre X games on the site, but there's not much of that "recommendation" there. How about creating another recommendation type list that lists all the games by genre there and people could vote for + or - there and the total numbers of + and - would determine whether the game is on the good or the bad list of the genre.

First of all, hey to all Gamespotters. I just joined the crowd.

Back on topic. I'm looking for some Wii RPG games, and by that I mean real RPG's. I'll just write down some notable games and my opinions on them so you'll get some hints on what I'm looking for.

World Of Warcraft: Nice game, got tired of it cause there was only one way to develop your character in order to be successful. You need these epic items and this build to be good.

Fallout 2: Brilliant, brilliant game. Right now playing it for the umpteenth time. Without so many bugs this would be a perfect game.

Fallout Tactics & Jagged Alliances: I like the idea but controlling multiple characters that way isn't just for me. A bit too strategic, though overly strategic games can be enjoyable with deep enough character development/customization (ie. enough RPG elements to not make it solely a strategy game)

Baldur's Gate 1 & 2: Bioware knows their stuff. Love those games.

Final Fantasy series: Great games, up to 9. The X and above just don't do it for me. FF8 being my favourite followed by 7.

Anarchy Online: DEEP character development and ample of weapons and gear to go with. One of the best.

I guess there's a solid ground to base any suggestions on. Basically what I want in a game is deep character development with more strategic feel to them. Turn based is my thing and I normally shy away from realtime battle games. Oblivion would have been my game if it weren't for the real time thing, as well as Fallout 3, though I haven't tried it yet.

Also deep strategy games aren't for me. Final Fantasy Tactics was good, but it was kinda on a brink of being too much strategy.

Graphics & Music are nice, but certainly not on the top priority.

Having a storyline is essential. It doesn't have to be good, but solid, something that keeps the game rolling.

I've tried looking at Wii RPG game reviews but nothing really caught my eye, except Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. It looks nice, but I fear it might be a bit more strategy than RPG. How about the character development? Are there enough different weapons/armor or is it just Dagger,Sword,Big Sword, Big Sword+1, etc -kinda same item upgraded to better one all the time?

Thanks for reading this and feel free to give your suggestions if you have any.
