Umm, I didn't buy it because I'm waiting for the DLC characters to come out in a few months. That way, when I find the game used then get the DLC, it'll be like I purchased the game brand new in the first place. Rented it for a week, fun game.
@scrumpy777 You make a good point, but it also make me wonder what a SFEX might look like in this generation. I'm pretty sure Capcom has thought about releasing the titles on Live or PSN.
Wow!!! That's the best sneaky way to promote exclusives to a certain system in a long time. The best part is, naive gamers will think they're art connoisseurs because they own a PS3!!!!
Seriously, this is just lame. They should have done a game for the Vita and used this line instead, the PS3 doesn't need this kind of crappy advertising, it actually sells.
I want to start off by saying that i love gaming. From snake on an old cell phone to Solid Snake on the PS3: I love video games!
But with that said, I have to give my opinion. Assuming that I do have "a case, a hard drive, an optical drive, and a monitor kicking around", the opening bid at this "new" PC is still $510. Can I afford to pay it? Yes, but I don't want to. Just like some of you PC elites have said, I'll stick with my 5 year old graphics card and enjoy console gaming. For $510, I could buy a new console and a decent amount of games, more if I choose to download some of them. If I didn't have the parts already mentioned, you could add another $200, and we all know that's a very generous figure for those 4 items.
My post isn't an argument to say why console gaming is "better" than PC gaming, because it isn't. It's more accessible, but not "better". That's what many people arguing about the two don't understand. In reality, a console is nothing more than a locked PC that you can't physically upgrade other than storage. My point is that some gamers just want to make a single purchase and be done with it.
A lot of haters here today. Considering what Nintendo went through with the 3DS launch, they know what they're talking about. Sony faithful are buying the Vita the same way Nintendo faithful bought the 3DS, and as much as we like to believe true "fans" can carry the weight of a system, there's more than enough proof that that line of thinking is WRONG! You aren't going to sway a Sony fan with a new Mario Kart, that same way you aren't going to sway a Nintendo fan with a new Uncharted.
