No, the Wii is dead to you, there's a difference. More than 4 games have been released in the past 6 months. I'm not trying to say that the Wii is the greatest system ever, but it's not dead yet.
Actually, they aren't that different. A console is nothing more than a locked PC that you can't upgrade. The new console you buy today (if the console was released today) is pretty much the same cutting edge PC you would have bought 2 years ago. The PS3 (and 360 to a degree) proved as much by allowing you to use your own SATA drive.
Let's see here, how much would a new console have cost if it came out last year...... $500 at least, because the easiest way to convince electronics buyers that the new version is better is to raise the price.Considering how long it took Sony to play catch-up in sales due to their original pricing, a new console right now would be ignorant.
