@ninja2481: What games are you playing if you don't mind me asking. Are you playing in 1080p or have you bumped it up a bit?

@s2i2p2i2o: The problem for me is that I haven't decided on a MB yet. Ram prices are decent, but I'm still not sure on how to build this rig. Should I get the best video card in my budget and increase ram in time, or get the best ram and a budget card that will need an upgrade in 5 years (which is still long enough for me +some).

@bunchanumbers: Want to get one so badly. The Scorpio and Neo sound nice, but I can't pass up 4K movies and BC right now! I know I have more than a few games that would be available on day one due to BC.

Seriously, how much ram do I need when building a gaming PC? I like to try out games from time to time, and this would be one of them. So if I were to build a gaming PC tomorrow, should I really get 12GB of ram? (yes, I know I would need that much if I wanted the game to run @ 1080p/60fps, but I'm asking in general as a 1st time serious gaming PC builder. built a PC before, but just to play with linux)

Double post, different subject

"It appears the reason for the one-use limit is because the Covert Agent Pack simply provides you with some of the DLC packs available through microtransactions--something that was unclear before today."

If I'm reading this right, it seems that some of the pre-order DLC (consumables) are just one time only items (nothing "special"), and that you should make two saves at the very beginning and only play one if you want to keep them for your second play through (don't know anything about the game, but it probably doesn't work like when it comes to save states or someone would have said that by now). I can see why they wouldn't want you to just keep restarting with 20 health paks or whatnot, and I can see myself being upset at this if I had the game.

"These PC performance issues are, sadly, not all that uncommon, particularly with multiplatform releases, but it is disappointing to see once again."

You mean that they aren't all that uncommon NOW. PC games have always shipped with a few bugs (just like any other software), but the amount of AAA games releasing barely playable has increased from what I see. I still wish I had a better PC though, I'll take a few bugs and days of waiting if it takes $20 or more off the price.

@vs_shield: I like still being able to keep my 360 games I've collected over the years that won't be taken away. That's where XBL beat PSN for me at least.
