Is it just me, or are the Scorpio and the Neo technically the same consoles we would have gotten had the last generation not lasted as long? The PS4 and XB1 would have cost more had they released approx. 3 years earlier, but this seems to be consistent with previous jumps in tech.
@Thanatos2k: True, but I had very bad luck as to always finding the one fight where I needed a Sentinel (it was always the Sentinel for me, and it was always a battle that I would barely lose at times so I figured I was on the right track) to use 1 ability for about 2 seconds and didn't have one. When I first started, I thought I was just doing something wrong, until I accidentally left Snow in my party and didn't feel like leaving the battle just to change characters.
The battle system was one of he few things I did enjoy about FFXIII, I just didn't like how they forced you to stick with certain characters for so long. By the time you could really adjust your party, it cost too much to go down a new path.
"I have other complaints regarding controls, ammo limitations, and mission objectives, but these may change--for better or worse--when I spend time playing with a full party."
Your opinion on the controls could change after playing with a full party? Really?
When I first played DR, I hated the timer. I hated it so much that when the next big game came along, I dropped DR for at least a few months. Got bored and started playing again in order to clear my backlog of unfinished games. After getting further into the game and restarting a few more times, I realized that the timed parts weren't that bad if you planned ahead. Then I found out that giving a gun to other people allowed them to have unlimited ammo..... Long story short, when I played DR like a DR game, it was fun. when I tried to play it like other games in the same genre, it was irritating.
