Read it for yourself.

My problem is that instead of looking forward by fixing the economy and gaining equal rights, there are some who are more concern with overturning a law that is over 30 years old.

Forget about the economy and foreign policy. Forget about race and gay rights. This country cannot look at those issues until these stupid politicians (mostly men) stop trying to hold back women from their parenthood rights. We're trying to support women's rights in the Middle East when Paul Ryan, Todd Akin, and Richard Mourdock are trying to do away with birth control and Roe vs. Wade?! If you don't support abortion that's one thing, but then don't act like it's not a big deal when young girls and women are attacked and forced to give birth to their rapist's child. Have people seriously lost their minds?!

He's around the same age as Hugo Weaving. And yes, Elves do age. Granted they age very slowly, but they do age.

Would you reference where you read that? If it's from History of Middle Earth that would explain why I missed it.

I guess there's Cirdan if you count his beard but that's all I can think of.

"The Elves were sufficiently longeval to be called by Men "immortal", but they were not unaging or unwearying." - J.R.R. Tolkien, in a letter dated from 1963 (published in 'the Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien')

Is that book available for purchase? I'm an English major and studying folklore.

Not seeing what the big deal is really.

worlock77

It's not a big deal, but it's still much more serious than Colbert having a cameo because that isn't serious at all. But yeah I'm kind of disgusted that someone would accept a role in these movies and then trash the book (without reading it) and fans.

Why does it matter? He's acting from Jackson's script, not from the book. And frankly I agree with him about fans. As I huge Tolkien fan myself some Tolkien fans f*cking scare me. Hell, some of them made Tolkien himself uncomfortable.

That is true. Tolkien was able to separate himself from his lore and his works of Middle-Earth. While he did sign off on the movie rights, he was uncomfortable with all of the buttons and slogans that came from the books.

Is it true? Or, is this like the time when he ran for President?

According to the link below, the channel G4, will be replaced and possibly renamed.

http://www.newgamernation.com/news-the-end-of-g4/

Does this mean anything for the channel? Or has the channel really changed over the years?

[QUOTE="Fantasy721"]You make it sound like the "Devil May Cry" trilogy.SaudiFury

FF13 was the first FF game i ever finished, since then i've gone back and finished 4. I was so surprised at how blatently linear the game was ( i mean come on... don't give me a map of where i'm going if it's just the same corridor), and the open world section was incredibly underwhemling. While i liked some of the characters (Lightning, Sazh, Fang), two others just infuriated me with their annoying character-types (Vanille, and even worse Hope). While i finished it, i still could not get behind the main driving factor for the heroes after the second act, it just dragged on for me. game looks stunning, but i still to this day can't get myself to replaying it again, just how appalling's simple a lot of it's game design and story was.

so when FF13-2 came out, i just skipped it, even though i understood the premise. Also, being told that it ends on a cliffhanger with episodic content didn't entirely bode well for me. Now with FF13-3 (can't we just call it that?), i can't help but ask this question.

is the team on FF13, a new one? like right out of college programmers and artists? because each one has been an improvement and it makes me wonder if it was either pure laziness on the Japanese part, or was it that they had an inexperienced team. Because it sure as hell wasn't for a lack of resources and time that was holding them back....

About FFv13 and Kingdom Hearts 3. I am still betting that FFv13 will get renamed FF15 when it finally comes to life. When KH3 gets announced, a game that i've also been waiting for many years now for, i do not expect to see it for another 10 years. Givne the propencity for Square Enix to announce stuff and not finish their products in any sort of decent manner of time. My want for those games are high, my anticipation and expectations are very low.

Apart from handheld games, Square Enix proper (not their owned studios in the West) has not given me much confidence or want for their console games.

I can actually see that happening. (Referring to the bold print.)
