All hail Lord Revan!

I finally played through Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic as a Sith after 42 hours.

For me it took some SERIOUS guts to kill two of my party members (Juhani and Jolee) when I first had stripped them from all of their equipment. And on top of all that I used Force Persuade to manipulate the Wookie to kill my third party member Mission.:( Luckily I received LOTS of Dark Side points.

And now it's time for Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic II The Sith Lords? I'm not sure yet.

More DS games but still no DS itself

My personal quest for getting games before console continues. Today I made a special finding in my local store’s bargain bin: Nintendogs: Dachshund and Friends for the Nintendo DS only for 25 euros.

Three games already and one is still on its way. Hopefully very soon I’ll be able to buy DS itself and start playing.:?

Moral sickness when playing a game

After a long time I finally started playing Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic for a second time. But now I have a quest: to become a Sith. It’s not easy, because different characters in the game are interesting and I constantly have to make decisions which are contrary to what I would normally choose in that situation. It’s not fun to kill an innocent by-stander just to gain more Dark Side points.

On the positive side I now know better how to build my character and party members and I also have more money to use, because I don’t pay: I threat and kill. Now I am ruthless, selfish and in a word a Sith.

What to do with too much spare time?

What do you do, when you have too much spare time and no idea how to spend it in at least some what productive manner? You write player reviews to GameSpot of course and the obvious choice is the Classic NES Series, which binds so many memories from my childhood nicely together.

My parents have always thought and I think they still to this day think that video games are a) a waste of time and b) just plain stupid thing to spend your money on. For this reason it’s so much easier to be grown-up gamer: it’s my money so it’s up to me to decide how to spend it.

Getting games before the console

I don't own a Nintendo DS, but I still have two games for it: Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow and New Super Mario Bros. Why would anyone do something like this? It’s because I already know that I’m going to buy a white Nintendo DS Lite with a pouch and a pair of earphones.

In the beginning of December 2005 I got myself the original Xbox after thinking about it for 18 months and in that time I had bought 12 games for the system.

After my DS project I probably start collecting games for the Xbox360. It’s nice to have a collection of games right from the start.:)

Ihr Name ist Sam Fisher...

Today I made an interesting purchase in my local game store: the very first Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell on the Xbox. This is not interesting in itself, but all the info on the box is written in German. Luckily the game itself is in English as was expected and it cost only eight euros.

Just like every other Splinter Cell, I will write my review about it as soon as I have had the time to play it through

I got a job!

In my first blog post I complained about not having a job, which in turn would allow me to buy new games. Well today the post office delivered a letter telling me that I have a job since 2nd of July 2007.

Long live videogaming!:)

If only I had more money...

I don’t have enough money.

I just got out of university and now I’m looking for a job. I have a long list consisting ”games I must buy”. Now my list has 34 games for Xbox360, 8 for PS3, 4 for Wii and 11 for Nintendo DS. I don’t have any of those systems yet, so it’s just a matter of MONEY.

Well... at least now I have a master’s degree in organic chemistry. So let’s find that job.
