LittleBigPlanet

So yep, pretty much as the title of this blog says, I got LittleBigPlanet ;p

Weird thing is, although GS does have news about it's release and all, you still can't add it to your collection, which sucks, as I won't be able to put it in my collection just yet.

Anyway, pretty good game so far apart from the fact that you need one pretty good connection in order to play online. I still do, but I lag a lot and I keep freezing for long times. Just like it happened earlier, was kicking it live with a friend and his girlfriend, when the stage finished. All proud of myself, I finished first. BOOM! White screen lasting forever, I had to wait.. and wait.. and I waited a hell of a long time (like 30 minutes) and nothing. I had to reboot my PS3 only to hear "BEEBEEBEEP!" the famous sound telling you that it crashed. Great..

The BETA, which I took part in, was far less worst, but did have far less people on it.

Despite the issues, if anyone is up for a game sometime, hit me up if I'm online, we could have some fun out there!

Oh and I already got 20% of the trophies, woop!

Dum dee dum

So yeah.. I haven't been on GameSpot in one hell of a long time.. almost one month.

You probably know why since I discussed the matter in my previous blog, which led to me not signing in for a long time and not responding to comments or posting on other people's blogs.

That being said, I'd also need to update my collection since I got new games. I highly doubt I'll come over here as much as I used too, I'll probably come on rarely, once every now and then, unless something can make me change my mind and make this site better since we know it'll never go back to the good ol' GameSpot from back in the days.

A lot of people stopped coming here, and there is less action than there used to be.

That's pretty much it, sorry for not commenting on your blogs or not replying to your questions (looking at you Cub on this one). Might be just a down time, don't know.

You can always contact me with private messages or any other way though, I'm still around, just not on GameSpot 0.o

Bored + New PSN Games

So I'll start with saying that I've been quite bored with GameSpot lately, and my friend Navigata seems to be feeling the same on this subject. Yep, bored with GameSpot. As he said, it's not the same anymore, plus, many of my good GS friends hardly ever come online anymore.

Not only that, but with all the work and all the games I play, I don't take as much time as before to come on here, comment on everyone's blog, write new blogs everyday, etc.

Now, this doesn't mean I will leave, as I have no intention of leaving, but let's say my activity on GameSpot might be far from what it used to be, so don't be alarmed if I don't comment on your blogs in a week, since it only means I just didn't find the time to come online.

With that out of the way, let's talk about my new purchase off of the PS Store!

Thursday was my most awaited day of the year. Why? MEGAMAN 9!!!!!

I came back from work at 6pm and first thing I did is purchase both Megaman 9 and WipeOut HD, which were two of my most awaited games of the year.

I spent all night playing Megaman 9 and let me tell you this: AMAZING! This game rocks and is one of the best Megaman game I've played to date. That's not to say that the game is freakin' hard at times, especially towards the Wily stages, which I'm still on the first Wily stage because I can't get past these crazy one hit kill flames coming out of both sides of the room in such a synchronized way that I can't figure when I can safely jump to the top of the room yet lol. But I've just figured out how I'm going to do it, so tonight, I'll get past them! I hope so -.-

WipeOut HD retains what made me love the name: High speed anti-gravitational races. Not only that, but it also has Trophies! I've gathered 5 Trophies in the game so far, which gives me a big.. 5% complete, woo. Anyway, the title ressembles alot these that came out for PSP, xept it is in HD and beautifully fast. As usual, the first class isn't overly fast, but I tried out Phantom class and I tried out a Zone track. Zones consist of a single track with you, and only you. As you progress, the speed increases all the time.. and you don't get any relaxation as the speed increases little by little every second and never comes to a stop. At around 16-18 Zones I think, Phantom class clutches in and the speed still keeps going up. I heard there was 99 Zones, as there is a Trophy for reaching 99 Zones, now that's pure madness!

Alright well, that's about it. Later people.

Uncharted Dead Body Dance

Yep, Dead Body Dance.

This, my friends, is a small bug that I came accross in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune which was entirely random. Since I found it rather funny, I decided to grab my numeric camera and film it ;p

I added a song over the video which I had to reverse some parts due to the nature of the lyrics, but hey, it's all good. That's basicaly what my blog is about today..

Oh yeah and, PAIN trophies are out, and are absolutly impossible lol. I also miss only one trophy in Super Stardust HD which is the one about the 10 nukes and well yeah.. I guess that does it for my blog! Enjoy!

http://www.gamespot.com/users/FetusZero/video_player?id=dSRinmeo5b0Fsz7Y

click the link to go to the video.. somehow it won't appear in my blog when I try to put the vid in it and GameSpot doesn't give me any BBCode to do so anyway, like I used to. Don't know.. Perhaps GameSpot doesn't like FireFox anymore? Or Perhaps GameSpot received a huge ammount of money from Microsoft and was told to **** it up for people who uses Linux?

Reply to previous comments + Castlevania + X360

I'll start off by replying to the comments of my previous blog, has when I red them (today) well I had to make another blog lol. If you don't like the idea of your name and comment being in the blog itself, just tell me, I'll remove it.

navigata: Good luck with the SSHD, how is that commando game? Any good? SSHD is addicting as crack man

Reply: Bionic Commando is pretty good! It's also pretty hard lol. I definitely recommend downloading the demo of the game. It's as fun as the original, but with all new graphics.. and don't know if it's just me, but it also seems harder than the original game.

BPoole96: youll get 10x multiplier on SSHD. just keep at it. make sure you always have shields. if you dont die from the beginning youll get 10x around the end on the 3rd planet or beginning of the 4th. hopefully that helps some. if theres alot of big rocks i like to boost into the and right when i hit ill use a bomb and that gets my multiplier up pretty quickly. im stuck with shock and awe as well. and im yet to even attempt late boomer

Reply: Thanks for the tip buddy. unfortunately it's always around the end of planet 3 or 4 that I die lol. Not because of the bosses (the bosses are damn easy), but mostly because I'm too cautious of my bombs and often forget I even have them for that reason and end up flying right into something. For Shock and Awe, you should ask Navigata about it, he got the trophy, he could give you some tips if you're having difficulties. By the way, I have a small trick that I gathered on the forum to get Late Boomer, so if you ever run out of ideas or are about to rip your hair off trying to get it, let me know ;p

akhorahill: It's good to know you're surviving the ordeal of buying a lot of games at once. It takes courage! Saw some movies of Stardust HD on PSN, wow, talk about intense game play. It seems like the yang side of Pixeljunk: Eden.

Reply: Have to survive it lol. I'm going to try and calm down until Megaman 9 releases, else I'll just be lost and end up suffocating under a pile of games lol. You definately should get SSHD if you can. The game isn't all that big, nor does it have alot of levels, but it is extremly addictive and if you get the Solo Pack add-on, you get a bunch of other modes in the game to simply enhance your gameplay experience, I'd recommend the game anytime if you get the Solo Pack add-on with it. And you are right, it is the yang side of Eden lol.

Now that this is done, I'd like to say that I've finished Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance. Got all items in the game, every relics, spells, collectibles, EVERYTHING as well as a 200% map which I believe is the maximum you can get. The game isn't all that long, a good 8 hours and a half I'd say, which is what it took me to finish it 100% complete. Definitely a great game, and I've been liking it more than Aria of Sorrow which I started after finishing HoD, but that might change over time I'll spent in Aria of Sorrow lol.

Now, if only I could get my hands on Circle of the Moon and Portrait of Ruins, I'd have my GBA and DS Castlevania collection completed.. But damn is Circle of the Moon unfindable!

Oh and by the way, I might get a X360. Some dude I hang with at work has a family member working over at FutureShop, and next week, the employees have 50% off of EVERYTHING in store, so he told us and asked us if we wanted something. I sure want a X360, mostly for Live Arcade, and with 50% off, sounds like a good deal for me to get a 60GB Pro edition. Hey, at 50%, I'm even tempted to get the 120GB Elite, so why not? When 'll get my pay this thursday I'll calculate how much I need by the next pay after and I'll see if I get one or not. If I do, then I'll have to add any of you who have a Live account. The only thing still making me doubt is that I'd have to buy that damn 100$ wireless adapter.. WHY MICROSOFT!? In the modern days we are, even when you released the 360 back then, it simply would of made sense that any entertainment system would NEED an built in wireless instead of selling us a 100$ adapter which, let's agree, is bull****. But I wouldn't have a choice since I don't have any wires reaching where my consoles are and that I don't feel, but really don't feel like starting drilling holes in my walls and ceilings and stuff. Hey, at 50% off might as well grab a 60GB along with the wireless adapter ;p

Gaming News + Review Delay

Ah, first of all, that long talked about review still isn't finished. Reason is that I've been working like mad crazy this week, and so I haven't found much time to actually continue writing the review. Now that this is said, let's jump to my gaming news, which basicaly is about the games I bought off of PSN today! Woo!

This morning, I happily bought 1942, Bionic Commando and PixelJunk: Eden off of the PS Store. That makes me a lot of games at once, but I'll survive.

I also am 2 Trophies close to have every Trophies in Super Stardust HD, which I only miss the 10x Multiplier and the 10 Nukes Trophies in the game. I'll be working hard to get these two as I rather find them hard to get.. Whenever I get to a 9x Multiplier, I tend to die, and whenever I enter the Endless mode to blow up them nukes, they bombard me with million rocks waves one after the other, endlessly, instead of sending me waves of enemies where you don't have a million things to dodge at once. Go wonder why, but it's as if the game knew I wanted the 10 nukes, and so decides to send me the "million" rocks waves all the time with nothing else. I seriously find this hard as all hell. You can't even dodge these waves, there's way too many of em, and since that's all it sends me, I end up with no bombs remaining and an empty booste along with the lack of a shield. I guess eventually I'll get lucky and it'll send me another kind of wave lol.

I've also played Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance quite a lot lately.. Almost done in the game, and I have to say it is one hell of a good game, but then again, it isn't called Castlevania for nothing, cause Castlevania kicks ass to begin with.

Otherwise I've been continuing my other games: LEGO Star Wars, Uncharted, Folklore, LEGO Star Wars etc. But most of the time I'll be focusing on finishing. Concentrating on one game instead of 50 will only help me finish them all faster, so I can end up with only a couple of games started at the same time, instead of 15.

Anyway, I'll have fun with all my downloaded games, and I plan on getting more soon enough, like next week. Fortunately, they aren't games like those that you buy at stores, they are more of a time waster kind of games, where you pick them up when you're bored or when you don't know what else to play, with the exception maybe of Bionic Commando, considering it is a remake of a full game back then, otherwise, it's good because it doesn't put a stop at my daily gaming.. almost.. I do spend a hell lot of time on Super Stardust HD and PixelJunk: Eden lol.

Super Stardust HD, here I coooome!!!!

WOOOO!!!

You hear right! I got Super Stardust HD! Now I see you coming:"uh.. didn't you say PSN wouldn't accept your credit card? what the hell?" well turn out I found some beautiful, lovely gift cards which are in fact Visa Credit Cards in form of a gift card, right here, at the grocery store! And it works!

So I went all slowly, getting a 25$ one to start with, in case it doesn't work, as well take the cheapest one of the bunch, right? Well I'll be damned, cause they sure as hell do work!

So as you guessed already, because I said it, first thing I got is Super Stardust HD along with the Solo Pack add-on. Now here's the thing, I can't really use the 25 entirely right now, as PSN just loves putting an extra 1$ fee or something on the card when entering it in your account, meaning that adding 25$ makes in fact 26$, going over budget of the card, leaving me to add only 20$ instead with a mere 4$ left on the card. Hopefully, Sony will drop the 1$ if I'm lucky, I know they do drop em on my personal credit card, let's hope it works for this one.

Which brings me to another question.. Why the hell doesn't Sony allow for custom money input anyway? If I want to add 12$.. why can't I? Gotta say that this is a stupid move from them, or so do I consider personally.

Oh well, doesn't matter, at least now I can finally buy games off of PSN! WOO!

Now, what to get next time? Many choices from what I want:

- 1942
- Bionic Commando: Rearmed
- Rayman
- Everyday Shooter
- flOw
- Mortal Kombat II
- PixelJunk: Eden
- Spyro the Dragon
- WipeOut
- Blast Factor
- Probably more that I forgot..

Too many choices! ahhhhhhhhh!

Gaming Addiction is on my side lately.

And why exactly is it? Because, I, once again, bought new games! lol. Yes, I know, I already have PLENTY of games to finish, but I just could not resist! Well, for two of these I could not resist, while the third is a recommendation from many people which I, in the end, decided to check out.

So yesterday I went to an EBGames to check the used games for sale, hoping to find Tenchu: Fatal Shadows for PS2, but as I thought, no luck. It was my priority in the used games, but my real reason for going there was to get a game from a series that many people have been recommending me.

PoP TtT

Yep, such is the game I bought. Many people recommended me the Prince of Persia series. Although I wanted to start with the first game that appeared on PS2 and work my way up the series that way, the only once I could find is actually the last one that appeared o the console.. great. So I thought to myself "Hey, I'll just do them backwards.. for a series that I don't know and am not even sure of liking, it doesn't really matter!" and that's true in the end. I'll just start playing it, and if I like it, I'll seek out Sands of Time and Warrior Within. Only paid it 15$ anyway!

So, that was my plan. Take that game and get the hell out of there.. But I come to be an impulsive person if I see something I've always have my eyes laid on.. but could never find it.. things like Castlevania games.

dawn of sorrow

Dawn of Sorrow for the DS is the first game I laid eyes on while looking through the used DS games. Wow.. I've been looking for these games forever. I simply could not resist, and although it's the "Konami's Best" version, which features a pretty ugly front cover that is a picture of the actual game's box (yeah, pretty weak for a "best of" version if you ask me), the game is still in there, ya know? So that makes me two, which while I went to the register with these two games, I saw that the GBA rack was right in front of the counter, or rather right ON the front side of the counter, which is where that I saw..

castlevania double

Yes! I've been looking for that one for even longer than the DS ones! Both Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow together on one cartridge for the GBA! So yep, another impulse came right along my spine and I had to get it, though this one wasn't used, but new. I was even more impressed to find it new though.

So that makes me, in reality, 4 games. I still lack one of the GBA Castlevania title though, which I forgot the name of, and I also miss one or two that is or are on the DS, cause if you remember, the game Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for PSP made me fall in love with the series, and I've been looking for these games for a long time now, even thought about ordering them right off Konami's website, but they were always SOLD OUT unfortunately.

As for Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, I'll see how it goes, whether I like it or not and if it is worth for me to search for the two other games, as well as if I have to wait for the new PoP title that's coming out on PS3, but only time will tell, as now I have WAY too many games to play. Good news though, as the only soon to be released games that I'm truly looking forward to is Silent Hill: Homecoming, all the others can wait.

I really need to stop buying games every 2 weeks lol. Shame on me for being a video game tester, cause lately it's only been augmenting my gaming impulse of playing many different games since I play the same damn game for weeks and sometimes months, all day long!

New Review!

Well, this isn't really the review I was expecting to write, so that means I still have one left to write entirely.

My new review today is of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (Special Edition), which I finished yesterday, which was Sunday. I could of posted up the new review right then, as it was already written up and done, but hey, I'm a lazy guy these days.

Click here for the review of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (Special Edition) for PS2.

The game was quite amazing, although from a general point of view, meaning on the Normal difficulty, the final battles were too easy, complete cakewalks. The story would be different if I played on DMD! mode, but I'm not there yet, I want to start Devil May Cry 4 as soon as possible. Once I'm done through that game though, I'll probably try to find some time to replay through the series and get myself some little DMD! madness in all four games, just because I'm like that, such a mode in such a game cannot stay untouched forever!

By the way, the review is pretty long, like always lol, for anyone who's actually going to read it, but hey, I didn't get that Top 100 emblem for my reviews by writting up cheap and short ones!

Uncharted + Eery Feeling

Let's start off with Uncharted, because I bought it lol.

Yep! After many people on my PSN Friends List, or GameSpot friends, recommendations, I decided to finally buy Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It is officially my first game with Trophies, and all thanks to it, I grabbed my first four Trophies last night! I was all excite. I even acted as a nood to Navigata, because at some place, instead of continuously pressing the Triangle button, I would press it once only and wonder why the damn door wouldn't open. Hey, usually, a game is suposed to use most buttons the same way throughout the whole game, so I figured I only had to press it once for the action to happen! Ah well, after mindless time trying to figure out a puzzle that didn't even exist, I realised I was being stupid lol.

Anyway, that's pretty much it, right now some guys are chasing after me and all, that's where I am right now, haven't played again today.. yet. Instead I played Devil May Cry 3, LEGO Star Wars and Folklore. Which right now, I went back to DMC3, which leads me to my next part of the blog: Eery Feeling.

Why such a feeling? Because I am standing in front of my shadow in the game, ready to fight, and just the thought of having to battle against something like Dante makes me feel uneasy about the events and how it's going to finish lol. Hey, Virgil is one thing to fight, but Dante? Damn it, hope I kill my shadow! Well I'm going to go eat now, then put up a new furniture my parents bought, so my dad doesn't have to put it up by himself alone, and then I'll go back to fighting the eery shadow with his shadowy blade that will pierce through my body eventually.. but as I told my friend Sim on GameSpot, Beowulf + Agni & Rudra = I don't fear you.. but you should fear me!
