Oh my god.

The new episodes of Always sunny in philadelphia were awesome, they are totally back on form. The newest one didnt even have Danny Devito or Kaitlin Olson. Not that I dont like those 2, but it made a good change. Here is a quick overview of the 2 new episodes

1. Frank Buys a billboard: Hilarious, Dennis had some great lines and Charlie and Dee's sub plot was hysterical. Especially how blatantly racist Dee was being, plus Green Man is back!.

Overall 9 out of 10.

2. Mac is banging the waitress: This has got to be one of the best episodes they have ever done, so many great lines and weirdly funny scenes. Mac really has some of the best parts of the episode, and his weird fetish with Dennis and Charlie was amazingly funny in an unexpected way.

Overall 10 out of 10.

My review of Queen's new album.

Queen is a favorite band of mine, so when I heard that they were doing a new album I was very interested. Queen without Freddie Mercury seemed like a terrible idea, and unfortunatly it is. The new singer Paul Rodgers sounds very generic rocker to me, his voice doesnt have the epic quality and scope that Freddie's had. The songs sound either too silly even by Queen standards or just plain dull and derivative. If I was judging this as a non Queen album I might like it a bit more, but unfortunatly this is Queen, but alas friends Queen died a long time ago and I dont think they should have been brought back from the dead without their star singer.

Overall I give it a 5 out of 10

My review of Ghost Town.

Ghost town would be an average at best film if it wasnt for Ricky Gervais. That man has a great ability to make awkward conversations hysterical. The Office and Extras proved this, unfortunatly he isnt exactly stretched in this film. Greg Kinnear is good as usual, but the rest of the film just feels well...a bit dull. It was pretty predictable with nothing of interest aside from the funny parts. I was a bit disappointed that the film wasnt more engaging, and it did get a bit sappy near the end. Surprisingly, some of the emotional parts are done rather well though. Ghost town isn't a great film, but its a nice feel good comedy that many people will probably enjoy. Its not going to win any awards, but hey who cares right?

Overall I five it a 6 out of 10.

My review of Righteous kill.

I was never really looking forward to this film since it is done by the director of 88 minutes, which was awful. This unfortunatly is only slightly better. Pacino and De Niro have great chemistry and are the best parts of the film, the rest of the film on the other hand is not so good. The story of the film is painfully derivative and who the killer is was so easy to guess. Also 50 cent had a part in the film, he apparently replace Samuel L. Jackson. Why the director chose to do this I have no idea because 50 cent was awful. Its a good thing he isn't in the film for too long. This film could have been so much more with a competent director and a better script, but unfortunatly it is little more than an uninteresting story with some great acting thrown in. Acting cannot save a film, a good script and director is vital. This film only had acting on its side.

Overall I give it a 4 out of 10.

My review of Appaloosa.

I have been anticipating this film for a while since I love a good western. I have to say though, it was dissapointing. The acting was good overall, Ed Harris, Viggo Mortenson,a dn Jeremy Irons were all good. Renne Zellweggar seemed a bit out of place though, she wasnt bad but she wasnt good either. The story was basic but it got the job done. My main problem with the film was the sub plot with renee Zelweger was not very interesting since Ed Harris and her had no chemistry. Her character changed in seemingly random ways, and overall it just wasnt enough to interest me.

My other problem with the film was that there was so little going in that some humor was thrown in, sometimes it works and is funny, other times it is almost painful to watch. Though the film was not very long, it seemed to go on forever. This wouldnt be that bad if there was anything of interest going on, like in the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford, but in this case it just seemed tedius and dull. There was a point where I wished the film would have ended after a shootout, but it just kept going and going. It had too many climaxes and after a while I stopped caring. Its not a bad film, but under a better director like Clint Eastwood it could have been much better.

Overall I give it a 6 out of 10

Screw the emmys.

Usually I don't care for award shows, but for some reason the emmys really annoy me. They still havent given it's always sunny in philadelphia any nominations even though its a great show. Heck I thought Danny Devito at least might be nominated since he is more of a star. Charlie day especially is brilliant in the show, they always give the award for best actor to Tony Shaloub in Monk. Also they didnt give The Wire the attention it deserved, they didnt nominate Breaking bad this year, and other great shows like Californiacation and Brotherhood get ignored. So I say screw the emmys and screw Monk.

Always sunny in philadelphia season 4 premier review.

The first episode of the new season was a bit underwhelming. It was still really good, but it felt almost a bit too over the top, even by Sunny's standerds. It was still funny, but its not one of the best episdoes of Sunny by far. I give this episode a 7.5 out of 10.

The Second episode however is a different story. The gang solves the gas crisis is one of the best episodes of Sunny I have seen. Charlie pretending to be a southern oil tycoon was amazingly hysterical and the episode had one of the best endings of the series. Overall I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Overall i give the season 4 premier a 8.5 out of 10

Suspiria is being remade!

Though I like Natalie Portman, I still hate the fact that this classic horror film is being remade. Darie Argento was always against the idea of a remake seeing as how he completed his mother of tears trilogy recently, maybe he will do more films. Hopefully at least.

Watch Breaking Bad.

This show only has 1 season completed but already it is proven to be a future classic. It has the actor who played the dad in malcom in the middle in it and he is great, watch the show now. That is a demand, not a request.

The Zune is getting better and better.

What with the new update that allows you to download songs you hear on the built in FM radio from any wireless hotspot, the new 120 gig zunes, and all the other awesome stuff in the new zune software update I think the Zune is one of the best choices in terms of features. My 80 gig is running low on space so I might pick up one of the new 120 gigs. Who else is loving their zune?
