My review of Disaster movie.

I'm not gonna lie, I saw this on the internet because I refuse to give the people involved money. It was crap, worst film of the year next to Babylon A.D.

My review of Burn After Reading.
by Film-Guy on Comments
This film has been getting some iffy reviews, but when it comes to comedy you should never trust reviews. This is one of the funniest films I have seen in ages, I love how its about mostly normal yet stupid and probably mad people thinking they are involved in something big. The cast was fantastic, George Clooney in particular stood out for, so did Brad Pitt and John Malcovich. It start off kinda slow, but that is just developing the characters, soon the film gets more and more involved and then as it gets deeper into the plot it becomes much funnier. I recommend this film and would say it is one of my new favorite Coen brothers films and defiantly one of the best films of the year.
Overall I give it a 9 out of 10
My review of Brick.
by Film-Guy on Comments
I was not expecting much from this film, but it really surprised me. Joseph Gordan Levitt was fantastic in it and I love the concept of a 30's style film noir set in a high school. Also it was surprisingly funny too. I can't think of much to say about this film since it is hard to describe without seeing it. Its like describing a picture to someone, they can't really understand it without watching it. Brick is pretty much a old style film noir combined with a high school drama, its not a great film but for what it was I loved the style.
Overall I give it a 8 out of 10.
My review of The Lookout.
by Film-Guy on Comments
The Lookout is a strange film at first. It stars Joseph Gordan-Levitt who was also in the great film Brick. He plays a Chris Pratt who gets brain damage after being in a car accident that killed some of his friends. He lives with a blind man named Lewis, played by the awesome Jeff Daniels, who wants to open a restraunt with him. Chris eventually meets Gary, who wants to rob the bank that Chris is the janitor for at night. It is a very slow film that creates some very interesting and complex characters.
You really have to pay attention in the film, because there isnt going to be a bank heist out of an action movie. The heist scene, which doesnt happen for a long time, is very old school and tense. I will not spoil anything, but I will say that this film was a big surprise for me and I enjoyed it alot. Fans of Brick and Fargo will like this one, similar dark humor and snowy midwest setting. Only downside was that the ending was a bit abrupt, but that did not spoil the movie too much.
Overall I give it an 8.5 out of 10.
Mercenaries 2 is not as good as I was hoping.
by Film-Guy on Comments
For a game that took so long to come out, I am surprised at how unpolished the game feels. The driving feels very stiff, I cant shoot people through windshields, I hit a guy on a bike going very fast and he just bounces off my car, and when i jump out of a speeding car, I just land safely on my feet. Overall its not a bad game, but bugs, glitches and a general lack of polish make me dissapointed. Shame, Mercenaries 1 was one of my favorite Xbox games, still this game is really fun if you can ignore the glitches. Also the friendly AI is awful, they dont shoot at people who are right next to them.
Overall a 7.5 out of 10

My review of Disco Pigs.
by Film-Guy on Comments
Disco Pigs is an Irish film starring Cillian Murphy. Disco Pigs is about two friends called Pig and Runt who have been close friends since they were little kids. Their parents start to get worried as the two move further and further into their own private fantasy world, so they send runt away to a boarding school.
This of course makes Pig panic and go after her, he however isnt used to being without her and starts to break down mentally and emotionally. Cillian Murphy is incredible in this film, he shows the slow descent into a state of near madness that his character Pig goes into near the end of the film. Some people may be put off by the heavy accents and the characters, but that to me just adds a certain charm to the film. This film made me appreciate Irish films even more than I did before,
Overall I give it a 9 out of 10.
