I've only been here for a week or so, but I have yet to find anything in OT that would point to this answer.
[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="mistervengeance"]Emo is a genre of music....not a background or saying.:|there's a girl with a microphone that looks like a carrot with an emo background and an emo saying right there

i said it was emo because there was a stupid emo saying and an emo background. yes there is emotional music, but there is also a style called emo, sometimes called scene.. that's what i was talking about.
Emo doesn't stand for "emotional" music, it stands for "emotional hardcore" - just so you know. :)
I listen to a lot of genres: indie, alternative, punk, hip-hop, folk, country, emo, electronica, jazz, blues - just whatever really. My favourite genre is Indie, though, but my favourite bands/artists are Nick Drake, My Bloody Valentine, The Velvet Underground, Big Star, Husker Du, Boards of Canada and The Beatles.
As for Classical music, I don't really like Baroque music (stuff like Vivaldi and J.S. Bach just doesn't really appeal to me) but I like Classical and love music from the Romantic period. My favourite composer is probably Rachmaninov.
The only genre I don't like is Metal.
EDIT: man, I really can't stand the attitude of most people who listen to Classical music. They think they're above you in some way. Music is music.
The best thing on TV now is old Simpsons reruns. The new ones arent bad, but not really up to snuff as far as the old ones go. How anyone, and I mean anyone, gets by on the sitcoms they run nowadays is beyond me. Im either watching the news, cartoons or sports. Anything else just wastes time.Ranteal
The best thing on TV is old Simpson episodes? That doesn't really count... I'm a huge fan of The Simpsons but after Season 9 the episodes suck - and they just get progressively worse as the seasons continue.
Curb Your Enthusiam is the most-well-written sitcom since Seinfeld, IMO, and it's not exactly a coincidence that Larry David was involved in both.
