[QUOTE="Vyse_The_Daring"]Aren't indie bands inherently "underground" and thus not played on the radio? KOTORkicker

Yes. The genre has completely and blatantly ripped off the actual meaning of the word.

While I agree that the bands we're talking about have, the statement isn't true for actual indie pop bands. Check out the bands I listed in my previous post. Indie pop basically refers to indie bands with a pop sensability - i.e. more emphasis on melody/harmony, arrangements, songcraft etc.

I might agree with you, but i dunno what youre talking about. Like what?Witchsight

I think he's talking about bands like the Hoosiers, the Pigeon Detectives, the View etc.

It's not really indie pop though and there's plenty of good indie pop bands: the Apples in Stereo, Magnetic Fields and the Field Mice for example.

It's no worse than anything else you'll hear on the radio.

I got a brand new copy from an independent seller on amazon for £10, so I think 48(USD?) is quite a lot for a used copy. I'm not saying the game isn't worth $48 but I think you could find a cheaper copy on ebay or something.

Troll?

I'll respond anyway - just in-case you actually are as stupid as you appear.;)

The DS and Wii are targeted at casual gamers and people who don't usually play games - that's why you get those quirky games like Brain Training. However, that doesn't mean there are no good games on the system. On the PS1, terrible games like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" and "Beyblade" were made in an effort to tap into the non-gaming audience - that doesn't mean the console sucked. The DS has a fantastic line up of games: Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Meteos, Phantom Hourglass, Mario Kart DS (probably the best Mario Kart since the original), Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, New Super Mario Bros, Sonic Rush to name just a few.

IMO, Nintendo is the best developer in the world (evident through playing games like Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess) and that is why I bought a Wii. That doesn't excuse them for repeating the same games, though, and I believe they need to either leave the Mario/Zelda franchises behind or seriously rethink them.
