Its sad to see people on here still partaking in "console fanboyism". i mean really?
I have, in the past, owned an Xbox One, PS4 and a high end PC (although not today, Ive had to sell them due to money issues).
They are all great platforms for gaming. I personally could not choose between an Xbox One and PS4, I still have my Quadcore PC (with 8Gb Ram and chunky GPU). PC gaming has a certain magic to it too, it has something "special" that is hard to explain fully,
Don't ask me to choose a favourite, i dont have one, and, more importantly, who cares? It's completely unnecessary.
I can't be the only one who has tired of this series long ago, The first Gears was, and will always be the best. It just went downhill from there. As for Gears 4, i played half an hour of it then traded it in.
@willowvale75: you make good points. I think i didnt word my comment how i intended. I love fighting games. For me MK10 was the definitive MK game. It had everything you could ever want from a MK game. Im also addicted to Killer Instinct ( still my fave game of this generation). Basically i dont feel a sequel is needed because you cant improve on the perfection of MK10. Personally id love to see another adventure/RPG set in the MK universe. A sequel to MK Shaolin Monks. Which was great
Was loving this game until midway through where we return to Blazkos home and are "treated" to an appalling cutscene lecturing us on slavery, (no mention that slavery was, and always has been, more prevalent in the Arab world, the fact that it was white men who abolished slavery, and it was the UK and our Royal Navy that did more to combat slavery than anyone else on the planet)
Then followed a scene where the "evil" white Blazko is drowning a rat in a bucket whilst his dark friend weeps and begs him to stop. That is shortly followed by us meeting the Bolsheviks who are portrayed as cute and lovable rebels in the game.
I gave up at that point, my copy is on ebay, Im avoiding the next one. We play games as a form of escapism, not as a form of mind control. If i wanted this rubbish i'd read a newspaper, (i won't, i'd rather stick pins in my eyes) keep politics out of games. Or lose our custom.
Another game franchise that has simply run it's course. It needs to go away now, Like Gears of War and Halo. I can't be the only one that has zero interest in these games anymore.
