This Week In Gaming

I've been doing a lot gaming-wise this week. I've been playing Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006 on my PSP at work. I hope to get the new Psp Daxter value pck thing later this year. I've also been Playing Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 for the 360, and unlocked some achievement points for it, finishing season mode again. I picked up GH II again, unlocked some points for that, and plan on getting the song packs next week.

I also played some PS one titles, rated some, gonan rate some more, and did 3 reviews on 3 Psone titles. I also played Kya: Dark Linage for the PS2, and love it so far.

I updated my game collection lists at GS, I still can't add Custom robo becuase Gamespot won't let me, and the tech people have done nothing to correct it. xD

i kinda have felt ill during the weekend though, my body just feels tired from overdoing it this week at work.

New Cheap Games Buyout!

The market for used PS2 games, GCN games, and XBox games are sure heating up big time :D

Here's the latest batch I got today, all used, but in pretty awesome shape:

Gungrave, PS2, $6.29

Mister Mosquito, PS2, $8.99 (i've been looking for a long time for this one)

Soul Caliber III, PS2, $16.19

Summoner, PS2, $3.59

Unlimited Saga (for my sis to play), PS2, $5.39

Unreal Championship 2, XBOX, $4.49

Unreal Championship, XBOX, $2.69

Digimon Rumble Arena 2 (Finally!), XBOX, $.17.99 (I've been looking for 3 years for an excellent, complete copy of this game)

Psychonauts, XBOX, $11.69

I also added a bunch of games given to me, and I added a bunch to my collection list:

Games include:

Kingom Hearts: Chain of Mmeories, for the GBA, complete, and excellent shape too!

Naruto Ninja Council 2 for the GBA, Complete

Nicktoons Movin', for the PS2, Complete and mint

River King, complete and mint, for the PS2

Pokemon Diamond, Ranger and trozei for the DS, all complete and all in excellent shape

Among other games. :)

So my collection now stands at around 752 games.

Half -off XBLA Games, over 700 Games Listed For Me At GS

I got three xbla games that are part of the 4 that's half off on XBLA:

Gauntlet, 200 points

Dig-Dug - 200 points

Small Arms - 400 points

3 games for the price of what Small arms originally goes for (800) points. That's a bargain to me!

I got over 700 games listed in my collection at GS now too.

Bonk 3 comes out on the VC tommorrow too! It's a must buy game for fans of classic platformers. :D

Bought Some Games ; Gamestops' Opinion Not Welcomed; Labor Day

I did something I haven't done In a log time again, and that's buy some games. :p I figured since a lot of older PS2 titles are hitting the real low prices, it's time to nab some more.

There are some obscure titles in the mix too this time.

Grandia II, PS2, Used, $11.69

Kya Dark Lineage, PS2, New $4.49

Custum Robo, Used, GCN $11.69

Ridge Racer 5, New, $4.49

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, Used, PS2,$6.29

Chulip, Used, PS2, $11.69

Wild Arms 3,Used, PS2, $4.49

Monster Rancher 3, PS2, USed, $8.99

Beyond Good and Evil, Used PS2,$7.19

Some Nice solid titles in the bunch, a few eccentric ones too. An interesting bunch. )

Now here's where i go into rant mode. Lately the store I like so much has been ticking me off. Gamestop has changed...for the worse at my store. Ever sicne the name change thigns have gone downhill. These new people are idiots. and by idiots, I mean trying to force people to change what they buy to buy something mroe expensive. preferably new.

At the last 5 trips to the store I've had this prob every time. whqt the heck is going on? The people that used to work there are stuck on morning shift soI hardly see them. I liked those peeps. the rest of the crew is idiots. I get a used game, they try to tell me it sucks and force another game down my throat. It could be halo 2 for god shakes and they will tell you not to buy it, buy a more expensive title (they want profit). It's getting to be real annoying. Some kid looked at the games I got today, and looked at them all and kept telling me, "you sure you want to buy these? these all suck." DidI ask for his opinion? Heck no. All the bosses there at that store. know I'm a game collector. And I know that a few titles in the lot, I just got, that are a bit excentric for sure, but a good portion of them are pretty solid titles- a good bunch around the 8.0 to 8.4 on gamespot's review scores. The other custumers there were talking to me, kept saying that the kid behind the counter should shut up. xD Luckily when the boss came out from the back the guy shut up. I'm sorry, but maybe it's become I work for Wal-mart and have learned the value of good customer service, but they really need to change their customer service quick - because that store is going to see fewer and fewer people (and it already is). If a custumer asks for your opinion, it's alright to give, but don't go to every customer whowants to buy a used game, and tell them they should buy a more expensive title instead. that's gotta stop.

Anyway, rant done.

Oh, it's labor day weekend, All managers gotta work Monday at my store xD Oh well :p Leat I get to have the weekend (two days) off xD.

3 VC Games Added

I got 3 games, since my dad was home for the VC. Drop Off, which is an interesting (albeit nothing fancy) version of breakout that isn't very easy. :p Splatterhouse, which is mindless bashing, but me like:P, and..wait, what was the other...*turns wii on*

Oh! Galaga '90, how could I forget that one? Now that one I really like. Anyways, it was a blast since he was home on vacation, and got to play some classic games Including Alien Crush, and Devil's Crush from last week's game buys. I got a new card today, So, I might pick up games like, Super C (which I own the cart back when I was a kid), BOF2, Super Metroid, and Shinobi III in the future. I just want to finish up some loose gaming ends first.

Sega Cd Is Dead

For now anyways. I turned it on to play it for the first time since I got it, and well. it won't come on. Real shame, since I barely got any play time with it. Reading up on it (knowing it must be elextrical work, since no power is running through the system) the answer to my Sega CD's problem is - it's fuse is most iekly blown. which seams to be one of the common problems for it. No biggy, just gotta find the right fuse, insert it in, and presto, Sega CD is alive again.

Two New VC Games

I got Alien Crush, and Devil's Crush last night for the Virtual Console. My dad loves good video pinabll games, and he liked them both (especially Devil's Crush). Worth every point, in my opinion.

I've been playing DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for the Wii alot and have gotten through 60% of the story mode. I didn't like it too much when I first started playing it, but now it's become one of my favorite games for the Wii.

Hidden Away

Yesterday I picked up Shenmue II, for the Xbox, at Rite Aid (new) fpr $19.99.

A game like that at Rite Aid. How the heck did that get there? Usually only the"cheap prodution" games get there. So, I picked it up.

Even weirder. I've known that game has been at that store, this copy, for 3 years now. I've seen it every time I've been there.

I figured it waited long enough; it needs to come home. :P

"Sometimes, things are meant to be."

Out With The Old, In With The Fun.

I rarely sell games. I mean rarely. It onyl the uptmost cases, can i even think about selling. In other words, if I own a game that is very bad, or so "unplayable" or "fun" to me I'll part with it. For the first time in a long time, I actually sold 4 games that I could not stand to own anymore.

And I think my collection is better off without them.

What I sold:

Ninety-Nine Nights (360) - The game got old for me so fast, plus the box was a bit banged up, Better off gone.

Sonic The Hedgehog (360) - I love Sonic. I even went so far as to buy a strategy guide to force myself through the game. I can't bare it. I've never seen a game make me feel so darn depressed when playing it. I can't stand to look at it anymore. :eave me with the much betterSonic and The Secret Rings

Red Steel (Wii) - Buggy Mess. I got this dirt cheap like Ninety Nine Nights so the momeny i got back for both of them was nearl;y what I paid for in the first place.

Super Swing Golf (Wii)- I just got this and after 2 hours of playing it, it drove me nuts. The rubberband Ai, oh my god the rubber band Ai, I hate it! If you play poorly it plays poorly. But Play like Tiger woods, and the game will play like Tiger Woods too. What it leave the player with is feeling like there is no sense of acompolishment. If you play excellent, you don't get rewarded. Instead you get slapped in the face. Hot Shots Golf (I own one for the PSP) is a hard gold series. But what sets it apart from Super Swing Golf is the fact that Hot Shots Golf is a much better game (series) and lets you have a feeling of acompolishment. Not to Mention Thw Wii (swing) controls drove me mad in the fact thatthe game wouldeither wouldn't read it, or read it too well. Better off getting rid of this game that drove me nuts.

So, with the cash I got, what did I get? Oh you know I had to buy some games. xD

Excite Truck, Wii, used - I know it's short, but I'm glad to own this game. I played it, and I honestly didn't think it would be so much fun as it is.

Tramua Center: Second Opinion, Wii, Used (got thisone totally free). Solid Title. It's truly a good game on the Wii To experience. And that's my goal with any game system. Is to experience the best and fun experiences it can provide.

Who Knew, Wii?

I stopped by the mall to pay my cingular bill and I walked out with three wWi games on used sales. :P Used Wii Games are hard to find here so when I saw these titles for much less then their new store counterparts I grabbed them. The wii I known for quick playthrough sessions and these games should suffice my ADD Gaming Habits :P

Super Swing Golf, Wii, Used, $30

Elebits, Used Wii, $30

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2, Wii, $22

Plus, My Mom got Garfield, A Tale oF Two Kitties (DS)for my Sis. Never seent he game before. Never knew it EVEN existed.

Oh And Waverace and Galaga "90 are on the VC. Two Good Games I don't even own. Yeah believe it, waverace 64 is the one 64 game you'd think I would own out of my big 64 game collection, but actually don't. Prolly should get it xD. but I'll wait on purchasing anything with my Wii points fora bit. I want to play through some of my games a bit more first, and maybe I'll purchase some with my points this weekend (I have 3.6 k Wii Points left.)
