Most people will tell you that 64bit has compatibility problems with some older programs, I however have had no trouble with it. You can read this if you want to know the differences: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946765 But what it comes down to is x64 offers the ability to go above 4gigs of RAM whereas 32bit does not.

If the games are actually installed on the D drive then when you install Win 7 you will most likely have to reinstall most of those games. Because you will lose your registry and many games will not work. IDK there may be a way around it but I don't think there is.

[QUOTE="G013M"][QUOTE="Ghost_loy"][QUOTE="3DayFinisher"] Yes you can, with the software purchase, you get basically a licence to install on 4 computers.

Really? Wow I didn't even know that, so that means I got license to install on 12 computers. Sweet.

Bwah? Unless you've got the family pack (or I'm miss-reading your post), you have one license per copy, so you can only install it on one PC. You can move that license to another PC, but you'd need to ring Microsoft up first. And after the 30 days expires, it'll go into reduced functionality mode until you activate.

HEHE, Idk either way 3 copies is still more than enough for me.

It's not hard but it's annoying as hell and i'd do anything to avoid trying to talk to some Indian guy again.X360PS3AMD05
When I called for my Win Vista 32bit I only spoke with an automated machine.
How do I get rid of these? It bothers me.RobboElRobbo
Well I don't have that. So it probably has to do with UAC. Turn UAC off and see if it goes away. Use method 1 here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/

Ok I downloaded Windows 7 today, and now I'm installing it, first when I was installing it, it told me that I must get rid of PC Cillin(which I did) now it's telling me to restart my computer. So I restarted it, so what do I have to do now? It's unloading the box again, and doing everything over, and I doing this right? I'm running Home Premium, 32 Bit

DazedDarkness

Hm thats odd. What do you mean it's "Unloading the box"?

Anyone install it twice, i'm wondering how much slack we have before we have to call MS to activate our key for doing it too much

X360PS3AMD05

Haven't tried but it's not the hard to call MS. It takes maybe 5-10 minutes.

What chipset is my mobo? You mean socket type? AM2+ Sorry not sure what you mean...

EDIT: here is the official page http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/t-series/introduction.php?S_ID=353

Ok well you see when it says "AMD overdrive cannot detect AMD 7-series chipset on this computer" It's because the chipset you mobo is composed of is not from the amd 7 series chipset. Your chipset is a Nvidia Geforce 8200, since that's not a amd chipset you can't use the amd overdrive program to monitor temps. For example since I have a 790gx chipset on my mobo and since AMD overdrive supports that chipset it will read the temps.

Well that's a relief, the way you said "Oh man" I thought there was a serious problem with my Mobo/CPU combination.... :)
