HOOO-WHEEEE! The winds are a blowing today. It’s biting cold, but so much easier for me to ignore it with all that wind. Half the reason I bought a trench coat and have long hair is just for that walking against the wind feeling. It feels gooood. It’s a mess whenever the wind blows any other way though. Hehe :P Anyways, zero writing progress for today. I’ve decided to try and ride out my NVG a bit first. I might be able to do some tomorrow though since I’m off from work.

Okay scratch what I said about the previous boss. The boss after is easy as dirt. I only got hit once because I got careless. I assure you, the dungeon is a complete and total witch. It took me FOUR FREAKING HOURS to finish it! Mainly because of the big key room and the bottomless cogwheel room. UGH. I Hop-A-Top-E Wop-A-Top-E-Rop Lop-E-Vop-E-Lop-Sop! (How’s that for hiding spoilers? :P How many peeps here know this lingo? Not like it's much of a spoiler, since there's a common pattern to these things...) Always have, since the days of Super Mario Bros for SNES. Anyways, next up on my list is to sneak into Hyrule Castle to meet up with the Big Z. Now that brings back memories of OOT. ^^ Though this time it’s less sanitary…

I did manage a few 100 more words, so I’m at 52,949 now. I think Twilight Princess has my soul. NVG lasts anywhere from 3-7 days these days. It used to last anywhere from 2-6 weeks. I have too many other interests to pursue now, compared to my younger days. Well, at least if I can keep up writing something, that should do. It’s not as cold, today. My room was a full blown sauna earlier. The sunlight just pours into my window, so I have one of the hottest rooms in the house. Of course, it don’t mean squat if the sun ain’t out. At least I’ll have a refrigerator in my room (my window sill) to keep sodas in soon.

On another note, I accidentally tripped a kid with my mop at work. Annoying pest kept running over my just mopped floors, so I tried to hold it up as a rail to stop him, but I didn’t raise it high enough, so yeah. No bruises or anything. Honestly, you really don’t need to worry that much about children over minor falls and stuff. I know because Ma made me do all her “babysitting” for her since I was 9 years old. I never earned a cent, but I would’ve been spanked if the kids died on her “watch” (aka she’s sleeping) so what can you do? I also used to let my little bro have friends over when our parents were out, even though I was told not to let it. I have more experience than I ever hoped to have with dealing with brats. Then again, all that babysitting ended when we moved when I was about 12, so I may be rusty.

Last note. I am willing to place a $500 2:1 bet that I will die from food poisoning one day. First the moldy ham and now two weeks pass expiration milk. I am on a roll. Well, I didn’t need to go to the bathroom frequently like Naruto did, but man, I am ripping some serious (but noiseless ^^) monster farts. My stomach keeps moaning, I kid you not. Actual moans, not that growling stuff. Plus I get this feeling of “churning” in my stomach from now and then similar to how it feels when I’m hungry, but without the weird burning sensation.

Ooh! P.S. My Uncut Naruto Box Set Volume 2 came in today as well as my official NaNoWriMo shirt I bought in commemoration of my 50k finish.

Colin, the pimping Link in-training. :P He’s already got two village girls fawning all over him. Now all he needs is a princess, an older woman and a humanoid but clearly not the same species (i.e. Ruto) chick. Hehe. The Goron Mines boss is quite possibly one of the easiest bosses I ever faced in the Zelda series (that I’ve played). It was especially easy since I can use the remote for aiming, cause I just suck at using the bow controller style. I guncon, not FPS, so it works better for me. Anyways, enough of that rambling. I’m on my way north of Kakariko to be turned into a wolf and meet the light spirit of Lenayru (or something like that).

It is FREEZING here! The heater wasn’t working at work today, so I was cold the entire time. I’m freezing right now. My blankets are buried under all kinds of crap and I’m too lazy to clean it off and bundle up. My loss, nyeh! Anyways, zero progress on writing. Annoying NVG syndrome. Well, I’ll make a promise to myself and my muses to get my quota done tomorrow. I have the short night shift tomorrow, so I have plenty of time for playing and working. My muses aren’t too pesky at the moment right now. They’re just nagging me, saying I’ll fall into slump if I don’t keep writing. I have to agree.

Wii Sports

I’ve lost skill points for the first time today. Nothing but tennis, baseball (the one I lost 30 skill points to) and bowling for today. I want my arms to heal a bit more before I start exerting too much once more. I noticed I repeat my words a lot. :P

Kakariko has hit the pits since the time of OOT. Wow. Anyways, I’m about to head up Death Mountain to find the light spirit. I wonder if Daruna, Daruda, whatever his name is, is still king. Or perhaps it’s passed on to “Link”? Or is it someone else entirely? Well, no spoilers please. It’ll be fun to see for myself.

I am so sore and tired. -Yawn- I was tempted not to post tonight, but I figured that if I just said “I’ll do it tomorrow night”, that I’ll end up doing the same thing until I’m gone on a who knows how long hiatus. Ack, bro was hogging the wii all morning, so I was too hyper from NVG (New Video Game) syndrome to make real progress with my story. I just went back and revised a few scenes better, so I have a total of 52,831 words now. But now, I am so so tired. It’s like the low after the sugarhigh right now for me. -Yawn- Oh yeah. I also created another Mii “Draco”, modeled after a dragonian from one of my stories. Yeah, my head is full of stories. That’s one of the reasons it’s so hard for me to stick to a story. I’m finally swapping out my old sneakers for a pair of new ones now. There’s a humongous hole that cuts cleanly through the sole now. I stepped on a thorny twig from a bush and I could feel it straight through. Fortunately, my mom is a bit of a shop-aholic so I already have a yet to be worn pair of sneakers in my closet.

I managed to get a C on one song and an A on the song “Take Me” (all on beginner). I ended up slipping on my mat while doing “Tsugaru” and knocking the wind out of me from the impact. That one has so much jumping.

Wii Sports

First I tried boxing, but holy mary mother of jew my right arm hurt with every jab. I had to focus on using my left. So, I played baseball and tennis since that’s more of a flick of the wrist type of deal.

Incase you can’t tell from the title, bro and pap succeeded at getting a Nintendo Wii! My arm is still aching from Wii Sports. I KNOW I don’t need to put anywhere near as much force as I do with the remote, but I always was the type to overdo things. I’ve made 3 Miis so far: Miiyow, Dolly and Amil. What’s with the limited color options? They should have put an entire spectrum worth of colors, then we’d really get variety. Green skin, blue hair, orange lips, etc. Bro has gone completely nuts on the Mii channel. Fine by me, it’s fun seeing so many different faces ^^. As usual bro pwns me at these games. We don’t have a second remote and nunchuck yet though, so no competitive play. I also showed him 4-way tennis where you set all the players up to be controlled by you. You don’t get skill for it, but it does an excellent job of working your reflexes.

I wrote about 1,547 words today for my story making a total of 52,791 words (86 pages). It would have been more but I noticed a tragic flaw with my scene: I was making a character with two broken arms draw pictures. Oops. Slight, simple editing. It’s weird. I just pump this stuff out with the whole Vicky/Zach relationship going on in my story, but all the other characters and relationships are a pain. I blame it on favoritism.

Wii Sports

Hoo, this has been fun. I’m not nerdy enough to write down my best scores ever unfortunately. The game I seem to be best at is Bowling while my worst is Golf. My Wii Fitness age is 69. Ouch.

Following my LoZ tradition, I named Link “Julian”. This time around you get to name Epona, too. I named her Phiaura since she’s a girl. I usually name horses Tsugi, but since he’s a boy I named her after one of Tsugi’s servants (It’s one of my story things). Well, it took forever for me to get the hang of bobber fishing. It’s pretty easy now though. I had to catch three fish before Sera actually took it. I think that’s because I kept scaring Sera away from the pier. Right now, I’m a wolf who’s off to Faron Woods to find a “light spirit”. Throughout this whole wolf thing, I couldn’t help but compare this to Okami. There’s the cel-shaded twilight, the sword and shield (though you can’t do much with it), and of course the battle system consisting of bite, bite, bite. Amaterasu and Link sitting in a tree. Actually that’d be kinda C-R-E-E-P-Y. Would make a fun crossover fic though. -snicker-

Not much I can say. I didn’t get around to writing today. I got pissed off at my GoPets client cause it wouldn’t let me log in, so I ended up playing more video games to vent. :P I also tried to start recording Xenosaga Episode III, but I kept screwing up. Gosh darn that frigging 5-15 second delay (It’s never the same).

My bro and pap are going to try to hit the mall early tomorrow, since there’s supposed to be a shipment of about 30 Wiis coming in. I am not a diehard console fan, so I’m going to be sleeping in.

I just realized that I forgot my spicy pretzels and carton of chocolate milk at work today. Oops. The pretzels are no big, but the milk…Oh my.

I’ve set up a new file for the sake of my recording efforts. This one is set before the first (tutorial) dungeon’s boss. One of these days, I’ll get the recording done right. There’s a humongous stack of fmvs coming up shortly after this one though.

Well, I tried Mission 11 on Easy, but I lost to that dog-looking boss. So, I just went and collected Red Orbs to power up my weapons and actions. I also logged in some experience for my Gunslinger Dante. I still need about 75,000 more before I can hit level 3.

I wrote about 1,235 words for my story today, leaving a total of 51,244 words now. On that note, I need information on broken bones since I’ve never officially broken a bone before. Unofficially, I think I broke something between my thumb and wrist once. I had to bag groceries, gather carts and what not with only one hand for three days. Either way, I’ve never had treatment for broken bones before. What I’m looking for is a time window. How long does it normally take to heal a broken leg or a broken arm? Do school nurses have x-ray machines? How long does it usually take to put an arm or leg in cast? Of course, I can always use creative license and time skips. I still want it to seem realistic as possible, although one character is turning my lit fic into a fantasy. Oh well. I’m also trying my hand at fanfiction since I seem to be comfortable with writing once more (UP YOURS, ENGLISH PROFESSOR!). I’ve got 529 words done so far on that one. I’ll post a link once I get the first chapter up. It’s a Naruto/Sasuke, rated M for eventual smut though. I probably could have written more, but my co-worker came over to borrow my computer again. Le sigh. It’s getting annoying. I think I’ll turn him away next time. He can use a library computer to do his flirting. There’s a library only three and a half miles away from here. On the plus side, since my computer was occupied, I got to make progress in more games. ^^

Officially beaten!!! WOOT! Hardest Xenosaga final boss hands down. What a sad ending, too. I’ll have to get around to Xenogears sometime to find out what happens next.

Not much to say. Since I reached 50k, I decided to take a break from writing for today. I’m going to try to write at least 1000 words a day for my story until NaNoWriMo 07. I’m thinking that I’ll write “Rhamus”, a fantasy based off classic rpgs, for next year’s. But who knows what my mind will think a year from now? After I finish writing, next up will be revising. Then I can give it to my pap to read. If he gives it the “it’s good” call, I’ll find a publisher. Now, if I can stay focused…

BOOM SHAKALAKA! FIFTY THOUSAND WORDS!!!! YESH! I JUST REACHED THIS GOAL LIKE FIVE MINUTES BEFORE I STARTED TYPING THIS!!! I SO BADLY WANT TO SCREAM, JUMP, AND DANCE AROUND BUT MY FAMILY IS TRYING TO SLEEP AT THIS HOUR!!! I SHALT EXPRESS MY JOY WITH THE ALL POWERFUL CAPS LOCK BUTTON! MWA HA HA HA HA! Excuse me, Maria has just run off at the moment. I am her sanity and I’ll be taking over for now. Anyways, she -I- (honestly, how can I be a part of that thing?) wrote about 2300 words before heading to work tonight. Then once I got home, I ate my Mickey D’s and headed straight for my laptop. I’ve been typing non-stop, except for a few minutes to look up bullet wounds on Wikipedia so I can know how the heck you’re supposed to treat them. I finished shortly after midnight. You can see how my month had gone in the link below. Well, technically subtract 32 from the final day and add it to the 29th. I missed the wordcount log by a few measly seconds. :P

Oh and my co-worker showed up today. Apparently, I didn’t hear him yesterday since I blast my music. He deleted his MySpace account and flirted on a matchmaker site. Ack, I should have kicked him out. I thought he was going to borrow my computer for something important. Well, my 50k requirement is fulfilled. I’m only about halfway through the actual story. It’s still a long road ‘til my dream of being a novelist. Oh well. Bring on the gaming!

I spent the whole time adventuring. First time, I went through the MaoMao jungle and retrieved some Conga Bananas. Then I went through to see MaoMao himself. Unfortunately, he ended up being a boss. At first, things were going the way they normally do. Then he suddenly pulls out this move I hadn’t seen before which wipes my whole team out. I think I was supposed to mash a button or something. I quit after that.

Not much to say as far as today goes. My co-worker never showed up. No big deal. I tried to focus on my novel, but ack, I just couldn’t get into it. I ended up pulling off 2,011 words due to sheer last minute desperation. All day, I keep trying to focus on my novel. Trying to see if I can break my record of 2473 words in a single day. Instead I finally get myself to write once the sun has set, pulling serious dog stuff out of my rear end. That character is too sweet for the crudity in my shameless writing. -snicker- Atleast she’s gone for now. I get to play with a character who makes a touch of fantasy in this story for my next scene. She’s way more fun. I still have 4,000 more words to go though. ACK!!! I’m hitting the sack early tonight.

Well, this was rather experimental. I decided to test the training difficulty by setting everything to ‘Hardest’ and saving every week. Every time a monster was injured, I resetted. If the same monster gets hurt again, I reset and lower the training to ‘Lenient’. If it doesn’t get hurt, I save and switch it back to ‘Hardest’. It seems to be working well. Definitely makes the months longer. Nayuta has hinted that Aibou is reaching old age. I’ll be sealing him up soon. I think I’ll be combining him with Lakota, though I really want to see an Aero come from Lakota and Lillith. Those two are my strongest of the group. I also put on one performance in which I scored a 100 satisfaction. BOO YAH!

Another event, I got a DDR pad a while back, so I can actually play this game. Not much I can say since this game is mostly about scores. I did notice some things about my body. I seem to be very ‘right-minded’. I had a tendency to focus on using only my right foot, sometimes even when I needed to step left. I have a crappy sense of balance since I almost fell quite a few times. I just flat out suck at this game, but eh, practice makes perfect right?
