If Halo3 got an 9.5 then R2 should get a 9.5.

Halo 3's graphics were good. I highly doubt they'll look better than R2's campaign though.

R2's graphics won't WOW you in the beta. I wasn't too found of them when I first played it. However, people need to realize that the SP will be superior graphically than the beta. If you see the beta's menu screen just look at the detail that Hale has before you select which game you're about to play.

People need to realize that for a game with the scale that R2's has that you can't have everything. You can't have Gears of War/MGS4 level detail in the MP when the game can has 60 player competitive modes. The pic shown of Orick with the trees doesn't look good. But the San Fran map which is a deathmatch map on the beta and only holds 10 players looks stunning. The aircrafts of the Chimera flying in the background is something to see.

If Gears of War had 60 player TDM and the number of enemies on screen like R2 then I could see why people are outright bashing R2's graphics. Just think about this, R2 can have up to 60 players on screen on gigantic maps with tons of action going on all at once with no slow down at all. No framerate droppage at all in the beta. And for that I can say that R2 has good graphics. The scale is impressive.

Um... the multiplayer isn't that great I'm sorry to say. If the beta is an accurate representation of the final game, then the multiplayer will be pretty average imo. If they fix some stuff then it could be a contender for very good multiplayer. munu9

How long did you play it? If you played for 30 minutes, got owned and came on here to whine about it then I understand.

MP games do you play?

Is TF2 really that good? I've had it since launch on 360. Only played it a couple of times because the game was laggy. I heard they patched it. But by then I was playing COD4/Halo3 so I didn't bother.

[QUOTE="Eltroz"]Left4dead I think has thatDroopeh

L4D will have great co-op, but I don't think it's in the same league as Resistance 2.

Exactly. L4D is on my radar. But honestly I never thought of buying L4D for the competitive multiplayer. Only thing that I've seen for L4D that interested me was the 4 player co-op.

R2 has 8 player co-op and prolly more enemies on screen. And the acutally competitive interests me.

[QUOTE="Kratos-Sackboy"]

[QUOTE="mingo123"]yes its very smooth, but overall the multiplayer is mediocremingo123

Not its not

yes it is, its a mess too, way too overcrowded, we need alot bigger maps and when someone dies they should not respawn right in the battle. games like cod4 are way superior to R2

Orick with 60 players is fine. We haven't seen the other maps large versions. But I'm guessing that Chicago will be fine also because the subway section is locked off for the 40player matches. If you add the subway and the rest of Chicago you have more than enough room.

COD4 isn't superior to R2 online. Judging from the beta, I think R2 > COD4 and Halo 3 for multiplayer.

I'm surprised why so many people are bringing up L4D in this comparison.

LOL @ people being this naive to think that people don't get games early. How do you think reviews come out before the game is out? People get their hands on REVIEW copies people. Stop being gullible.

resistance is just generic as hell .hahawatyo
Not at all. This is just faceless description of Resistance. I hear this claim but nobody ever explains why they feel this way. When I think of generic games I think of True Crime, Haze, etc. R2 def isn't in that category. The original was great and still holds up to games released now. How is this game considered generic when the first game is over 85% at Gamerankings?
