[QUOTE="HULKMANIA_001"]Since the release of crisis core, many fellow posters on SW have been complaining that the PSP RPG cannot compare to the likes of LO and other home console RPGS as a 9.0 on a PSP would be much lower if it were say on a PS3 or 360. But in the Gamespot review they quickly debunk this by saying.
"Makes Crisis Core not just the finest role-playing experience available on the PSP, but also one of the best Japanese RPGs in years." -GamespotSo with that said I think its safe to assume that Crisis Core is the defenitive RPG to own as of now, no others compare to it ( according to SW AAA logic)
ofcourse im no fanboy, just because crisis core is rated AAA does not make games like LO anyless worthwhile, they are all still great RPG's and we need more of them!
Well what do you guys think? and please dont flame, im not trying to put down other games, just saying FF:CC should not be merely passed off as inferior because it is on a handheld.saolin323
So, they mean it is far better than Persona 3 too ?
Well, as they have said again and again, they review games according to the system they are on, so it could never compare to other systems anyway, no matter what they write, and they do say "one of the most", not "the most", meaning there are other as good games out there
So are you saying its worthless to also make Ps3/360 game comparisions because both are different platforms? I think when regarding to RPG's on the PSP, alot of people expect it to be around the same calibur of the past PS2 rpg's and IMHO i think CC delivered. Also how many other rpgs have that stated is one of the best rpgs in many years? not many.
Ah, here we go. Just remember that the DS users can without a single doubt now use the arguments that the PSP almost doesn't have any unique game worth getting. Considering the high scoring games such as Elite Beat Agents, Layton, Hotel Dusk.
I personally just got my hands on FF:CC and it's amazing on a handheld and a fantastic game for FFVII fans, though I still would have liked to play that kind of game on a console rather than on a bus or such.

The PSP also has games such as Locoroco(sp?) and Papaton as unique games. Also crisis core is not just a rehash of FF7, its battle system is very different and in general plays very differently from the main FF series. The only thing it borrow is part of the story which even then is not much.
