ya, i hope they keep it this way for PS4. im curious to see if they still make it free. either way, id probably still use their Subscription cause its worth how much they give in savings. its quite a nice system, including giving subscribers access to betas, which is always nice

people do realize that almost every week Sony gives away 1-5 free games for being a subscriber?

i find it funny that MS thinks they are being generous for giving away 2 free games a month that are super old.

most of Sonys free games are semi new but generally no where near as old as Assassins Creed 2 or Halo 3. those games are 4-6 years old. sure it might be generous of them but if you compare Sonys subscription, man, they are super generous.

i got tired of paying for a subscription for 360. it honestly wasnt worth my money for the incentives that they were giving. i own all 2 consoles made from MS & all 3 consoles from Sony.

but when i compare the service. not counting what people say about Sony multiplayer, cause i generally dont play multiplayer a ton. i play more multiplayer on my PC than console.

but i find it fascinating that it took them this long to give back to their subscribers.

LOL!!!

you must have not read the recent news about MS collecting info on people for the government. They were the first in a long line of companies tapping into peoples e-mails, video, & other accounts to collect info for the Government, which no one knew about. Verizon is currently in the hot seat for this as well.

i never stated they were innocent but they probably didnt expect to take the heat for it cause they might have thought MS would cause that is how they advertised it from the beginning. they only recently switched gears in how they explained that its up to the publisher.

this might buy the publishers time to reflect on how the consumers feel about this decision that they have to present before us & figure out what they want to do.

i dunno, it seems like MS switched gears & did not want to take blame for this stance so they threw the publishers under the bus. i might be wrong here but when this info first came out they never mentioned that it was up to the publishers, it seemed more like their own stance.

now it seems like MS put the publishers in a compromising position, where they said your either with me or your not & are making them have to get involved with the tanking of their console, which is quite awkward.

my guess is that they are waiting to see what others say or are having a meeting about it cause they arent sure where they stand.

@alastor529 @berserker66666 @puppy_maclove

& this is where you are wrong.

there are far more PC games then there are console games. it depends on whether new titles matter. you can still buy old PC games & play them. they play on mostly any current PC you buy. i say mostly cause there are few that cant play, but all you have to do is a little tinkering & with the internet available it can tell you this info. Steam is not the only place to buy PC games unlike console, you only have one store connected to it for Download Stores.

you get tons of free games on PC. which most are fairly great games. the cost of buying PC games is far cheaper than it is to buy console games. you can buy the same console games for $1-$5 but get more games in a bundle of 5-8 games. for that price. you save in the games you buy. the system might be expensive but you can shell out less cash in games. you dont have to pay for a whole new machine when you buy a PC, you just change out the part that needs replacing. ive never had a PC break down. i dont know where you are getting your facts from. my guess is that its the same break down problems as it was for the Xbox & PS3 when they first started. but that is a guess, just like your statement with no facts.

PC also has loads of MODS. why are mods good? b/c you can play a game that you like longer with new content without shelling out a dime for DLC. thank you PC community.

PC = emulators, you get all of the old classic console games on a PC.

i own both console & PC, i dont believe in restricting yourself the only reason i commented was b/c your facts about PCs are very off. most free games are not strategy games. there are tons of great games that console will never get. it just depends on what games you like.
