not even close to being an xbot. people throw out that word too often. don't you realize that almost everyone was a nintendo or sony fan or both, since sony and nintendo were making consoles long before ms?
sony and the ps2 were magical. they took a step ahead of the pack with the ps2. they went backwards or at least, they didn't move forward at all, with the ps3.
ms took a step forward with the 360, and they are on the rise. I see it for what it is, a company trying to expand and reach multiple targets.
I said there was nothing wrong with sony only focusing on games, but they aren't necessarily alienating the other consumers in the gaming market.
how many people bought a ps3 because of the blu-ray player? at the time, it was cheaper than buying an actual stand alone blu-ray player.
I don't know why sony ponys are getting upset. don't be surprised when the xbox one outsells the ps4. it is only logical that it does. ms is expanding its range in the market; not just hardcore gamers, but for casuals and other consumers that like to just watch movies/shows and whatnot on their console.
all-in-one baby. ms is always thinking about the future. nothing wrong with sony for just focusing on games for the ps4, but they are only limiting themselves.
""Microsoft has said that it wants to make the Xbox One an entertainment center," Sundberg said. "If it was dubbed the ultimate gaming machine at this point, Microsoft would lose the attention of general media. This way, they are grabbing mainstream attention first and can focus entirely on gamers at E3. After that they'll have both in their grasp. The Xbox is and has always been a gaming platform, and I don't see that changing with the Xbox One."
this guy knows what he is talking about. he understands how the business works. microsoft is drawing in a larger audience, and they will make more money because of that.
