Yea, I think you should wait a while before you make your purchase because you dont seem to know what your buying. 80Gb is the only console with backwards compatibility and they are discontinuing it soon. They are going to come out with a 120Gb PS3 with the Dualshock 3. No word on Backwards Compatibility yet.
Yes I know about the BC and that they are discontinuing it soon because that they want to push the new line of product. But I have no interest in playing PS2 games on my PS3 as my girlfriend has a PS2. I mostly want my PS3 for PS3 games, duh and the Blu-Ray movies.
theres nothing you can really do to stop the kind of bugs ps3 currently has. its just not built to last since they knocked down the production cost. the main thing to watch for is it ranodmly not reading discs, atleast sonys nice n quick to replace ps3s with these kinds of problems though.NickMarmalade
The production cost got cut to $400 because all the internals (cell processor, ram, chips etc) cost cheaper to make now, as with all computer parts out there. Not because they have decided to cheapen the actual process or use cheaper internals. Get your facts straight before you start jabbering out BS like this. The production cost dropping has nothing to do with this.

You know I read up on that just now and it says you get a $5 reward for every 250 points. $1 = 1 point. So by spending $500 on a PS3 and game there I will get $10 off. woot.......

Well I'm definatelly dropping my $60 on Skate because my friend works at Sony and can get me PS3 games for $10 a piece but I'm just too excited to get it tommorrow that I don't give two ****'s cuz I'm already spending $400 + tax on the PS3 itself LOL (dumb, true) but in the future all my PS3 games will be $10 :) :) :)
