EDIT: On topic, this is quite interesting. Its pretty messed up what the police did. The guy didn't want the police in his house, and thus they should respect his wishes. Then assaulting the guy in his house was a bit much. And then like they hadnt done enough, they charged him lol.

I think it should be around $350 without Kinect. That would be a highly competitive price. MS back tracking on all its DRM nonsense was a great step. The only thing that may prevent it from being as competitive against the PS4 is the price. I fear that the price alone will give the PS4 an advantage. Surely as time goes on, the price will decrease and come more inline with the PS4's but the question is will the PS4's lead be too big already. Then couple that with the fact that MS is only releasing the X1 in "Tier 1" countries, and that automatically hurts its sales.

Pretty much, The Xbone was a complete disaster from a marketing perspective. The whole "Tier" system of releasing the console is a consequence of their ill conceived DRM plans, and the whole bundling with kinect aspect is due to a general lack of understanding of it's core customer. Hardcore gamers have no use for Kinect, and I highly doubt the meat head bro gamers will care much for the kinect functionality. Perhaps the NFL benefits and Halo TV Show may sway them though....but I highly doubt. People seem content using their TV remotes :?
