Madness?

THIS! IS! SPARTA! *thisisspartadeathkick*

@topic

I can't even imagine how much it'll cost here, in Brazil. Everything here cost you at least a leg. or both eyes.

Nowadays a DS Lite cost around US$ 300.

I'll have to wait at least a year or two.

-.-

If you want a game with a mature theme and awesome plot, try 999.

Until you get into the competitive online battles.

Urworstnhtmare

Exactly. It takes a lot of time (and skill) to train a good team and beat others online. Especially if they're a hacker.:P

Ok. I guess you could say choosing a team and EV training requires a little bit of skill, but honestly its more logic and creating a balanced party than skill...

Nope, Team building skills can only get you so far. From the 3'rd generation onwards, there's simply too many threats to prepare your team for, and you can't cover all of your bases. You set a goal, say, sweep with X. Then you try to cover the more glaring threaths you have to overcome to reach that goal.

From this point on, it's exactly like was said in a Webcomic called Erfword: "But, y'know... he's (the opponent) doing the same to you. And you can't be strong everywhere. So you fall back when he's stronger. But you roll with it. Yes, you plan. Okay? But the enemy won't follow your plan. So the trick is to be fluid, hit him on the fly, define his choices.. watch for opportunity, like when he boops up. You have to know more than he does about what's going on."

The real challenge is to use whatever you've have and dismantle your opponent team, even when you can't directly counter it. You have to play around the threats, know the metagame and outsmart him.

I have an eye for Jrpgs, I played TWEWY and currently playing Chrono Trigger and enjoying it so far.

Any recommendations on this regard? I would appreciate it.

I was wondering does anyone still play JUS online?

a213

Ask in the JUS Board. A bunch of people still play.

defo dont wanna begin a new game.. maybe can teach some of the pokemon a few diff moves? here are some i have in my bag: water pulse, giga drain, psychic, shock wave, sludge bomb, torment, overheat, roost, fling, charge beam , drain punch, rock slide, poison jab, whirlpool, rock smash, waterfall delectabledoz

Well, you'll have to grind. A lot.

Of all these moves, only Roost, Charge Beam, Surf and Waterfall have some use, but none of your pokemon have any use for them.

yeah thats true.. which moves are good to use in order of the gym leaders pokemon and could i beat them with the pokemon and moves i have got? delectabledoz

You *can* beat anything in the game using anything. But it'll require some grinding.

The other options are: begin a new game, or grinding a new poke from scratch.
