Plus, why you want to train blastoise? He doesn't need to reach lv 100 for WI-FI battles. It has a auto-100 thing that auto-level your pokemon. I never had a pokemon with higher lv than 68 in my platinum. And that was the Infernape that I used to plow through the game. And only because i only used it and a Staraptor, plus death fodder.

Ok heres my line up.. (anything i should work on) Staraptor LV: 91 -Return -Aerial Ace -Fly -Close Combat Regigigas (LV and moveset in progress) LV: 46 -Confuse Ray -Revenge -Dizzy Punch -Ice Punch Moves That Are Meant to be: -Iron Head -Earthquake -Brick Break -Giga Impact Electivire LV: 92 -Thunder Punch -Fire Punch -Thunderbolt -Giga Impact Torterra LV: 91 -Seed Bomb -Stone Edge -Earthquake -Frenzy Plant Blastoise (Favorite of all time so i EV trained it in Special D and Special A with a Sassy Nature) (LV in progress) LV: 86 -Flash Cannon -Ice Beam -Surf -Hydro Cannon Garchomp LV: 95 -Shadow Claw -Dragon Claw -Flamethrower -Earthquake P.S. this is my elite four team ( game team) not my wifi battle team so go easy). Also.. do you know anywhere i can train my blastoise and regigigas? besides the elite four? And whats YOUR line-uptravism94

Staraptor - No pokemon need to have more than 1 damaging move of the same typing, with largely scarce exceptions. Staraptor isn't one of the exceptions. And actually, Return + close combat pretty much covers anything in the game, except for ghosts. You could use a Return/Close Combat/Substitute/Roost and pack a pursuiter in your team. It's the standard set for a motive, and it packs quite a punch. If you feel you NEED to hit ghosts, use Return/Close Combat/Brave Bird/Roost. Brave bird has twice the power of Aerial Ace, and don't give the opponent a free switch, unlike fly.

Regigigas - Really, don't use it. Sure it can be a beast IF you can stall 5 turns, but, a enemy could only phaze you out, or set up and kill. You *could* use Confusion+Paralyzis to stall, but a lot of things can do it better, and if you can stall the opponent 5 turns with anything, it's pretty much game anyway, and doesn't matter that much what kind of poke you are using. Think about it as a 5-turn-setup. Now thing about what you would do with a Dragon Dancer, or Swords Dancer/Nasty Plotter/Whatever in 5 turns using only 1 turn of set-up easily obtainable.

Electivire - Okay, first: DON'T USE GIGA IMPACT. NEVER. DON'T "But" OR "If" ME. JUST DON'T. It give a free turn to the opponent do anything. He could, say, dragon dance a gyarados, earthquake you out of the way, since it outspeed you, and sweep you team. Or the same with a Tyranitar. Sword Dance a lucario. You get the picture. Things that let someone freely sweeps you Are. Not. Good. I can't stress this enough. Also electivire has bad speed, so you need to couple him with thing that can net him a quick Motor Drive boost. Most thing here won't, so you have a synergy problem. Third, again the two damaging moves of the same type thing. THIS page has a lot of options for your electivire, but i suggest the first, the mixed attacker set.

Torterra - Switch Frenzy Plant with Wood hammer for the same motives of Giga Impact. It and seed bomb overlaps, witch is a bad thing, like i've already said. Leech seed would help it it's Tanking job, but you don't have a Stealth Rock user and this is a move that nearly every team need. Torterra is a great user, because it should cause many switches.

Blastoise - Wait, you have an blastoise but haven't Rapid Spin? Give it ASAP. Blastoise is one of the few viable RSpin users, and Surf is overlapping with Hydro Pump anyway. Replace one of them with it. I suggest replacing Hydro Pump due to low PP. Blastoise's SpAtk isn't very high, sou you better use his defenses. With that in mind, I would trade Flash Cannon for Toxic, and Ice beam for protect. Bingo. Now the only thing that can wall you in OU are Roserade and Empoleon.

Garchomp - Ah, that's easy. Just use the set that made it banned from standard play. Sword Dance/Outrage/Earthquake/Stone Edge, and give it a Yache Berry. Okay, now you have a uber in your team, that can only be walled by Skarmory, that can, at best PHaze you, and Brozong that can't kill you and don't have a way to heal itself. If skarmory is a bother, just switch Stone edge to fire fang and sweep freely, and nothing can wall you anymore.

[QUOTE="Dycras"]

[QUOTE="Jfisch93"] I'm talking about the pokemon games specifically. Almost nothing changes from game to game besides a few features and new pokemon. It's almost as bad as the madden games.

darth-pyschosis

o please its not even near as bad as the madden games, even the modern warfare games are worse than pokemon at rehashing

Modern Warfare has only 2 entries. Pokemon, well i've lost count of all of them, but the official RPGs are much more than MW

Considering MW has only been around 2 years+, i'd say the rehashing edge has to technically go to Pokemon

Even though they did bring new stuff to MW2 that upset fans (deathstreaks)

Every generation of pokemon games changes drastically the competitive battling metagame.

1 - One of my friends is bound to buy it and i'll play when he's finished. I wouldn't buy because the ace attorney series has no replay value. Plus, I'm broke.

2 - I would get Professor Layton. But Bowser Inside Story is a great game.

Ya know, this thread is almost 3 years old.

Ya so why are you posting in it?

Because the guy who pumped this thread apparently didn't notice.

Your team will get wiped by Cynthia's Garchomp. I'd recommend getting empoleon up to around late 50s and teaching it ice beam or blizzard or something like that.

Your Moltres looks like it's the most potent thing on your team, so keep that alive and sacrifice other monster to revive it.

Raise the rest of your team to around 50 and you should be set :)

stEElyDaN909

No, it won't. Empoleon just need to spam ice beams, and use luxray as death fodder, IF he's killed. From what i can remember, it has Dragon Rush, Earthquake, Flamethrower, Giga Impact. Only Earthquake from these can kill you and even then, not after 2~3 intimidates from luxray.
