Well, you ARE into competitive battling, so getting platinum will haste thing a bit. there's a lot of thing that you will found there that is needed. Multiple TMs and the 4th generation pokemon, for starters, that otherwise you would need to trade to get. And believe me, finding good Pokes not hacked out there to trade is VERY hard.

It soooooo good when the "New" thing are really new.

Too 'friggin hard! And that because i have a band, play guitar and sing.

Rhythmic games should be meant to make you relax. This one makes you retry, retry, and the best you will ever get is a "Too bad. Try again.". If i need to describe it with few words, not many things can fit it better than "rage inducing".

I beat the elite four only using a Infernape, a staraptor, both at lv 5X, death fodder and enough revives/potions in my first playthrough. It isn't that hard.

Smogon and Seribii(spell?) have decent online communities and are loads of help with competive battling.

Serebii has a lot of outdated information. That "pokemon of the week" thing is a big trap. One of the Roserade sets, for example, suggest Extrasensory "to hit poison types", and Crobats sets has Hipnosys. When they wrote these things in 2007/08 it was true, since platinum wasn't out there and roserade was UU, but now it's just a BIG trap.

Just buy a bunch of revives and hyper potions and take them on. They can't do anything to you if you have enough healing items, really.
