Firsts things first. Sentinel of the Starry Skies is a Dragon Quest game, not a Final Fantasy one. I was mistaking it for 4 Heroes of Light.

Dragon Quest: Sentinel of the Starry Skies is a little too boring for my tastes, but i'm biased, since i never ever liked any Dragon Quest game. A lot of people out there loves it and clock more than 150 hours easily. It seems that it have huge endgame content.

Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is a standard JRPG. Got out there, save the princess, grind, save the world. Slow pacing, too many party's break-ups and boring start plagues it. It's not flat-out bad, but be warned.

As I said before, I would get Golden Sun: Dark Dawn over both any day.

FFIV is much harder.

FF SotS is the same genre as pokemon, an RPG. Aside from that, they are as similar to each other as, say, Sonic and Mario. Both are platformers, after all.

You guys have no idea how large the hacking community is on the DS. This thing can be easily fixed in no time. Anti-piracy on the DS is a lost cause after I've seen how large the hacking scene is and how dedicated those guys are.

I agree with pretty much everything on the gamespot review, but wouldn't give a score that low.

You seems to be into JRPGs. Golden Sun DS and M&L: BiS are good choices.

If you can get it, Last Window is Hotel Dusk's sequel, and is even better.

The problem isn't the talking per se, but the reediculous amount of sad/happy/whatever faces, that pile up and make the talking scenes too long.

Or loved. There's just too many of them, and it becomes very annoying. Oh, and you get to use emoticons too. Of course, it doesn't make any difference, only make the talk scenes even more boring, and the others characters always complain, despite which choice you make. -.-
