@lostn: Things like these also take up a ton of retail space, freight costs, and end up being returned for many reasons. It's not really a money maker so much as an insurance plan.
@mithrava: Hard drives also draw more power, have moving parts, and don't react well to being dropped. That OnePlus 3T probably costs less to manufacture than this console, by the way.
@wtf_666: It's also about the same size as your phone...and has expandable storage. What were you expecting, anyway? My phone has 256GB of storage it isn't cheap.
@RS13: Uhh, wouldn't you think EXACTLY the opposite? If the PS Vita is 5 years old and costs $240 right now, you expect a brand new console to come out cheaper than it? And yes, it's the perfect comparison...
@CyberEarth: Yes, unlike them in that the functionality is through your "smart device". I know, you will conveniently ignore these sorts of things, for better or worse, to try and make your plebian point.
@Lordcrabfood: Price is actually quite relevant....and I meant per year, not per month (as is the cost of the Pokemon Bank, I believe). As far as reading comprehension goes, your use of words like "cause" instead of "because" tell me you're not exactly an English professor. And if that's the best response you've got, you need help.
@rawkstar007: What's interesting is that this is probably going to be the "go to" portable multiplayer game, though. Completely playable with those mini controllers, familiar to all old school gamers, and 2 players max.
@timothyss10: Actually, I'm hoping this thing can accept USB Type C headphones or, at the very least, Bluetooth headphones. Apple may be taking flak for it, but they are right.
