PSP fun

Hi guys! I've been experimenting with my PSP,figuring everything out, (like how to add videos to it without the media manager). It's pretty cool to see what it can do.

Right now, I'm watching the new Bleach episode(ep 155) on it:D

In other news,I have finally posted my Phantom Hourglass review. I'm a big procrastinator:P

Also, this week, I have semester exams:cry: and only the last two days are half days:cry:  I've started studying, but I'm taking a break now.

There won't be a Best games of 07 in this blog, because I'm still thinking of the nominees for the 360 and what I'm going to say for the PS3. Sorry guys:? Don't hurt me:P

To make up for that, I'll have the PS3 and the 360 categories in the next blog.

Now here's a song that I'm currently addicted to. I heard it on Guitar Hero, and it's one of my top ten favorite songs:D

The Strokes- Reptilia

I like how they do the split screen showing all of them playing their instruments.

Got a PSP

I got my PSP on Friday, and I'm loving it:D

I got the Daxter bundle, which includes:

DX

A PSP, and all the things for it(e.g. AC adapter, battery pack, etc.)

Family Guy- The freakin Sweet Collection DVD

Daxter

And a 1 GIG memory stick

I also bought a USB connector for it, so I can put my music on my PSP:D

I added some photos on the memory stick so I can change the theme of my PSP. The theme now is Lost Odyssey. In a few weeks I might change it to Crisis Core.

I also traded in some of my games to buy

FFT

I played it before, and I knew I must buy it. I'm not that far, but I find the customizations really fun. I had to learn the hard way that when your characters die, they don't come back.

Now, here's the best games of 2007 continued!

Best Wii game of 07

Super Mario Galaxy

Medal of Honor: Heroes 2

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Trauma Center: New Blood

Winner: Super Mario Galaxy

SMG

It was very close between MP3 and SMG, but SMG got the advantage by how it allows the player to interact with the enviroment. MP3 had you using the controller in a new way, but SMG had you use them in a new way and it affecting the enviroment too.

The final part of the best games will be in the next blog. Tell me your opinions on this one. It was a difficult choice.

First Blog of the New Year

It's the first blog of the new year, so it'll be a good one(or an attempted good one:P).

First thing's first. The first song I'm trying to learn is the theme song to Dragonball Z: Budokai 3. I can only do the first 10-15 seconds of it, even though I started learning the song on Sunday. It's very challenging, but fun:D

If you don't know the song, here's the link to it.

Budokai 3

I showed you the intro to the game, but the real song is over 3 minutes long.

The final thing are what I call, the Best Games of 07.

I will go into each system, telling what games were nominate, and which game won.

It will be a 2 part blog(maybe 3 part).

REMEMBER: This is my opinion on which games are the best.

Let's start with the handhelds:D

Best Games of 07- DS

Nominees:

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Contra 4

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wing

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

Winner: Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

PH

Not a big surprise, eh?;) Nintendo did a great job with the controls for the game. The story is good, but it doesn't really bring anything new to the Zelda series. The music is pretty good. While its story is relatively short, this game is a must for anyone with a DS.

Best Games of 07- PSP

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Crush

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions

Jeanne D'Arc

Winner: Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions

FFT

Even though this game is a remake, it was re-released in 2007, so it's acceptable. The story is great. It throws you into the middle of a royal family's power struggle against each other. What I really like is, instead of throwing you into it as a royal family member, you are just a mercenary who takes a job that gets you involved in it. The gameplay is good, and the script was edited to make some dialogue make sense, which is a good thing, but for those that remember some of the quirky quotes from the original will be disappointed since there's a high probability that it won't be in it. The job system is amazing. With so many different jobs to choose from, you will play this for weeks(maybe even months).

The next blog will cover the best game of the main consoles. I hope you all had a good new years:D I have to go back to school tomorrow:cry:

Any opinions for the Best Games are welcomed, but if you disagree, please say why.

Finished Mass Effect and Update

After playing it non-stop for 5 days(yes, I did take breaks in between. Had to let my 360 get a break), I have finally finished it. Game Informer was right, the last 3 hours put you on the edge of you seat. I won't say what happens, but I will say that the ending is really action-packed, and only one word can describe this game: Amazing. This game came out of no where and entered my top 5 favorite RPGs.

I'm going to start working on a review for this game soon, but no specific date on when it will be posted(I still need to post the Bioshock and Phantom Hourglass reviews).

NOTE: For any Code Geass fans out there(me included), Code Geass season 2 will start airing in Spring of 08. The first season will start to air on Adult Swim in the same time(or earlier).

In my next blog, I'm going to do my favorite games of 07.

I almost forgot to tell you what my other news was. I got myself a present for Chritmas, it was

GH

Yeah, I finally got one:D I started the lessons that was on the CD it came with, but it wasn't very helpful:? I'm going to get lessons for a guitar shop, once I save up enough money. I'm getting pretty comfortable with it, and I'm playing pretty well considering that this is the first time I played a guitar before(I still suck, of course, but I've had it for a day. I think I played the first 2 seconds of Suffragette City when I was playing around wih it).

I know how to tune and everything, but my problem now is how much pressure I put on the chords and not to hit the frets(the bars). I'll learn though. Wish me luck:D

Ipod is LIVE!

A few hours ago, I connected my modem and 360 to my new router(which is wireless). I could go into details, but this is the broad statement:

I have Xbox Live:D

My Gmaertag is Light Yagami245(there is a space between Light and Yagami).

N8A, I'll take you up on that GH3 game tomorrow.

If you want to add me to your friends list, tell me what your gamertag is, and add me(or I'll try to add you).

S_Jake is already on my friends list(it was automatically on there when I signed on), so I awaitall of you:D

For this wonderful occasion, I'll leave you with this hilarious video:lol:

Crank Dat Soulja Boy

You might hate the song, but trust me, you will laugh at this video.

HINT: Let's say that Soulja Boy went preppy;)

To Everyone

I want to wish everyone a fun and safe Merry Christmas!:)

I shall now leave you with 2 new songs!:D

Crushcrushcrush

Stay Away

These are some really good songs.

Again, have a safe and womderful Christmas!!:)

P.S.- I think I get Mass Effect as a present;)

GH3 review up

I finally got around to posting my Gh3 review. yeah, I said Phantom hourglass would be first, but I felt like doing this one today.:P

Anyways, here it is!

Guitar Hero 3 review

I think I did a really good job on this one.

Just to rest some of my friends' minds(N8A) about Live, I have NOT tried to connect my 360 to Live since the last time I tried it. I was too busy, and I had to really study for Biology last week. I will make a blog telling when I am on Live though, so keep your eyes peeled:)

I know you guys missed not having Ipod's daily blog music video, but don't fear, it's back!:) Here is one of my favorite songs. I might of posted this one already, but I like it that much:P

To Shewolf- This one has subtitles. I had to really look, but it has them:)

Answer

Dragon Quest 5 Impression

I finally got the time to do it!:)

Here it is.

Dragon Quest 5

The story wasn't anything different for its time. You name your character(he's going to be called Hero in this impression). You are a 6 year old child who travels around the world with his father. I can go on, but I think I will spoil a major part of the game, so i'll end it there.

Gameplay: The gameplay is just like other RPGs out there at the time. It's turn-based(how I like it), and doesn't try anything new to the formula.

Sound: The sound is alright, but not really memorable. Some will be catchy, but you'll soon forget about them.

Graphics: mediocre. If you are into graphics, you might not like the game. Everyone else who actually judge the game based on things other than graphics will find the game passable.

Overall: if you are a core or hardcore RPG fan, then you will enjoy the simple story and characters. I would try finding it for a reasonable price online though

My score:

7/10

I have finished writing my reviews for Bioshock and GH3, but i'll post my review of Phantom Hourglass first(it's long overdue).

EDIT: I'm looking for a song with subtitles to put in my next blog, so thing one will not have a song to show. The next one will.

Update

Hi everyone. I know I said that I will have the DQ5 impression up, but I need more time to evaluate it. I've been so much into GH3, Bioshock and Blue Dragon. I'll talk about my update in them.

In GH3, I have completed medium mode a week ago(I forgot to blog about it:P). I'm working on a few songs on Hard mode, but I need to get the speed and the Hammer-ons and Pull-offs down. I can play Rock You Like a Hurricane on Hard, but i would get 3 stars. One thing I really hate in GH3 is how you can't get money in the career mode for songs that you already beat, but got a better score.

Lost? I'll explain:

Let's say I got 3 stars on One by Metallica in career mode. If I play it again and get 4 stars on it, I won't get any cash. In GH1 and GH2 you could go back and get cash. I wonder why they changed it.

Now for Bioshock.

I'm already in Smuggler's Hideout. I think the game is good, but I am disappointed that there is little to no replay value. The primise of the game is wonderful, and even though I didn't like reading 1984, they did a good job in using it as inspiration for the game. I noticed that the game goes by fairly quicky though.

And finally, one of my person favorites, Blue Dragon.

I'm finally on the second disc. This segment really reminds me of Chrono Trigger, especially when you meet "Yasato". He will remind you of a little friend from CT;) I have to say that it moves along quicker than in the 1st disc. I really like the music to Balroy(spelling?) Town. It fuses techno with rock.

I still didn't get Live to work:( so I'll just try to do it with wireless.

Now I'll leave you with one of my favorite songs.

UVERworld- Colors of the Heart

GH3 and Live help

I guys! I wasn't on so much this week, because of GH3. Yeah, I finally got it two weeks ago, but had enough time to play it yesterday. I finished the career mode(medium) today. I could of done it yesterday, but I had school, so I had to go to bed. I'm going to try and get most of the achievements tomorrow, and then start Bioshock on Saturday.

I have a question. This is for people who have had, or is currently on Xbox Live:

I tried connecting my 360 to my DSL modem, but the IP address wouldn't come through. It says I have a valid IP address, but it then says that I have a valid IP address, but it then says something else(I forgot).

If you have the answer, can you please tell me? I'm going to check the Customer service part on xbox.com now.

I also have another question, but this is for everyone.

Should I continue to post my story, The Eyes of a Falcon on GS? If not, why?
