Max Payne, GTA and now Tomb Raider, this really disgusts me as I imagine it disgusts many here.

For crying out loud don't they realise that the great single player games should remain single player? It's what makes them so great, we don't go around shooting each other saying how fun it is, we end up talking online about how great the storyline was, whether there will be a sequel, what could be improved etc. not whether I can move around corners and hope to shoot my online opponent in the head!

I want game developers to do good research, for example, when you consumers played Tomb Raider, Max Payne and GTA in the past did you dream of playing multiplayer? Answer: 99% say NO!

The internet may have been one of the best things since 'sliced bread' but I slowly get the feeling it will prove to be the downfall of single player gaming. (Sim City being the example).

As much as I hate to say this EA/Maxis unless torrents are banned there are going to be a lot of people "investigating" routes and channels in getting this game to work offline and you only have yourselves to blame.

If there was no such thing as "break in internet connection" then this would be, I would argue, one of the best selling games of all time.

It will be known as the most "torrent downloaded game of all time".

Only one thing bothers me about this game, the system behind online. I know we can play offline solo play but it has been said by Maxis that if the internet connection breaks up for around 3 minutes that we would end up losing any gamestate progress. Surely if the internet stop working due to no fault of ours why should we be penalised?EA and Maxis are smart when it comes to making the games but marketing and online features? Suck like a ghost vacuum.

I have played violent video gamers for many many years. I have no criminal record, not even spitting on the ground, I continue to play violent video games and if anything I find myself at a point where I start to think more about how to curb violence like this on the streets, in our communities, towns and cities.

The President, NRA, Lawmakers ought to think more about not making "political statements" and actually talk to every State, every District, every Town/City and see what people really think about this, no stupid polls please.

The only thing that makes me angry is seeing Christians being killed in Islamic countries but I don't go out there abusing law abiding Muslims here in the U.K. for something THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR!

What I love about the United States of America is its Liberties and Freedoms, another day goes by and it just seems, and I am no conspiracy theorist but once a great country is tearing itself apart.

There are answers, just think some of them out there are simply looking in the wrong place and start blaming, mainstream media first now the NRA.

As much I would like to see this on PC, especially how much money hardcore gamers spend on them to get games running well I very much doubt that even if this was released on the PC people here alluded earlier that ports haven't been good at all.

But every PC gamer must demand that when the next generation consoles come out, even though still being behind PC tech, all games be PC compatible, it would be a rotten shame if what we have these days with ports continue with the next gen.

PC gamers is growing fast and they won't admit it.

We need some of Grand Prix 4 implemented here, car setups and damage model, so many things can be done but instead they are concentrating on making multiplayer better.

Don't they realise that the player experience inside the F1 car over a lap and one race is far more important than showing "oh look at how quick I am at bashing cars at the first corner against human players"?

I like these kind of pointers on computer components and specs, it's very important that people understand it's not that hard and you can find ways of keeping costs down for yourself in future when choosing to build PC's over buying off the shelf.

You learn to build, educate yourself on computer systems and join the computing world of technology where PC technology is ever changing, go back 4 years, think about the specs they had and fast foward to today.

Now think 8 years ahead... the first PC you built will be as obsolete as the 286 IBM's back in the days.

Gamespot could give it 1 for all it's worth, to me it will be when I play it, that's what counts.

Really? Innovate and evolve? More like stating the obvious but why are we the gamers being told this?

It's Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo that need to look at themselves closely and think ahead, look at how the PC has changed over the last 10 years, so much change that we are losing track. Motherboards, Graphics Cards, Audio, Monitors etc you name it are constantly developing but Consoles just feel they are being updated.

Some good progress but its not the same progress as PC, consoles are lagging behind and we've known this for years.

Sadly not many people know Warren Spector that well, including Gamespot.

If they remember not too long ago at a conference Warren spoke about game issues, he talked about how gamers should "demand more" and not settle for the "same, repititive stuff". He brings it up a bit here as well.

He has his own philiosphy, he could have made 5 to 10 Deus Ex's but that would be no challenge to him and quite frankly he would rather commit suicide than be put to a challenge.
