3.you can tell how good a game will be from screenshots or videos. -wrong. until you have the controller in your hand and are playing the game, you have absolutely no idea how good the game will turn out. system wars has a long history of flopped games because people can't seem to figure this out. stop hyping games based on how they look.

I just said I wasn't hyping based on looks/videos. I was using the reviews and impressions of the finished product as a guideline. Not always accurate admittedly, but I find it works for the most part. So please don't patronize me.

Fair enough, there's no guarantee that your opinion of a game will be the same as the reviewer's, or that of the mass market. Generally the reviews are there as just a guideline rather than an ultimatum, I probably should've been more specific, my bad.

For the record, I'm not a big GTA fan either. And (on a slightly unrelated note) I think God of War is grossly over-rated. But I've been spared from buying some games that looked good but turned out to be lame, so I guess it balances out to an extent.

China Warrior had mind-blowing graphics for its time. That made it an awesome game, right?

Graphics HELP a game to be good, they don't MAKE it good. If I want pure visual splendour, I'll watch some movies or something.
