@Lordcrabfood Agreed, the 'story' for these games has always been a boil-in-the-bag means to an end, not to mention the fact that the plots in last two games were identical, just with different locations and bad guys.
I loved Sleeping Dogs too, so I watched Infernal Affairs, but I found it really difficult to follow. I found that the subtitles flashed up too quick to read sometimes. It gave me a headache trying to read the subtitles and follow the action on screen at the same time, I had to turn it off half way through...
Never had this problem before with subtitled films. Anyone else have this problem?
Meh...this DLC clearly deals with events that happen chronologically before the final battle at the end of the game and it specifically about the reapers, so it should have been included in the game, or it should be free now. We've already defeated the reapers, so it feels a bit redundant. I'll pass...
The next single player DLC needs to be something that carries on from where ME3 left off, or free/much cheaper and tied into the main game like they did with Stolen Memory & Overlord in ME2.
Plus, if games do go 100% digital that'll rather neatly solve the used game "problem" that publishers hate so much.
I hope it never happens. I'll certainly never spend a penny on a digital download again, unless it works out significantly cheaper than buying the physical copy (which at the moment it almost never does), and even then probably not because I like having the option to sell a game if I want to.
Right now, digital games = less value, less freedom
@Hodge996 I reckon the point is that another GOW is not necessarily a good idea because it could become 'same old same old'. But sequels are safer for publishers than risking a new IP that might not go anywhere....
@Ripper_TV Graphics aren't the issue for me - I mean GOW3 had better graphics than GOW2, but 2 was a superior game because it was still fresh and innovative. Don't get me wrong, GOW3 was still great, but I definitely had a strong sense of 'been there, done that' whilst playing it. I can't imagine what more they could do with this series without completely changing genre, so I'm finding it hard to get enthusiastic about it.
@svenjl I agree mate, I love Shift. And for me Midnight Club LA was the spiritual successor to Underground 2 and Most Wanted. At least Rockstar are still getting it right.
Singleplayer and story don't resonant with them? That's where you lose me...another Burnout Paradise clone coming up then?
This is what WE - the NFS fans - want from a game with 'Most Wanted' in the title:
1. An outlandish over-the-top story with overblown characters and awesomely badly acted cutscenes.
2. Car customisation - that means body kits, rims, spoilers, roof scoops, vinyls, decals and all kinds of fancy paint.
3. An open world that is fun to explore with maybe a few collectibles.
4. Police chase objectives that further the campaign.
5. A SINGLEPLAYER career that takes at least 15-20 hours to complete.
Now, give us all of this and THEN add all your multiplayer, social networking Autolog b0ll0cks and that's fine. Otherwise, just change the name to Burnout and be done with it.
Sigh, another one for my pile of 'to be played' games...along with Lego Batman 2 (still haven't started that one), Darksiders 2, Sleeping Dogs, AC3, Forza Horizon, Okami HD...
