You do know Starfield is being made by the wonderful folks who blessed us with Fallout 76 right? Lol.

Uncharted is certainly the best looking game I have ever played on a console (Digital Foundry agrees). Also, there really isn't a HUD in this game except when you're in firefights.

I looks like a nice tech demo but looking at the game play, I'd rather sniff glue from a plastic bag and suffocate myself then actually play it.

The gameplay isn't that bad actually...the AI can be annoying but I don't know of a racing game where that is not the case.

I find it to be an enjoyable game for the most part. More of a 7/10 than a 5/10. The games visuals are gorgeous and the tracks are really nice to drive through. Granted, the game is a bit old school and doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything (pun intended). But for what it is - a racer - it does a pretty decent job. Having played this game as well as Forza Horizon 2, I find I like them both for different reasons. They play differently, but both work well. What about you, SW? Have you had a chance to play 5Club?

I'm a level 44 in Driveclub and I must admit I am really enjoying the game, although I've only had it about a month. I too would say it's more 7/10 (I would say more but minus the amazing graphics and weather conditions, it's missing a few basic things). I know Driveclub has been advertised as an arcade racer, but it takes a background in sim-racers to be competitive, so beating everyone else is just as satisfying as if you were playing Gran Turismo. I think they have all of their network issues worked out and overall there is a lot of variety in the cars, car handling, and track layouts. Like any game there could be some improvements (I'm a graphic designer and in my opinion most of their custom paint schemes stink) but considering the nightmare that is was at launch, I think Sony would be foolish to not try marketing this thing again soon, especially once the PS+ version is available.

I traded in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Driveclub (mostly because nobody plays COD on the PS4) and I'm glad I did since until Driveclub there wasn't really a racing game that was fun and felt next-gen (at least graphics wise).

Here's some things I hope they add to make the game even better:

  • Longer races
  • Better weathering effects
  • Race replay (they've had this since PS1 days...no excuse for it to be missing from this type of a game)
  • Better AI, they either go too slow or they drive into the corner too deep and run over you
  • No more AI rubber banding, too often I can go from last place to the lead in seconds and then all of a sudden the AI is competitive
  • More American content, there's like two American cars
  • Better paint schemes
  • Faster loading for "challenges"

Win for XBO...Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Pretty cool for a large party game, family game, local play etc.Ā Ā Ā  it seems that Sonys wireless solution is extremely lacking to Microsofts.Ā Ā Ā Ā

PS3 supports 7 controllers at once. Want to know how many times since I bought a 60gb launch PS3 I've had 7 people playing? Never. The only time I've had more than four people playing was on rockband and nobody plays that anymore.

...Current gen indie gaming?Ā :?

Means a ton of games will be making their exclusive console debut on PS4, instead of Xbox 180. Oh yeah, Minecraft is coming to PS3, PS4, and Vita.

Same controller?Ā

Playstation changed the shape and dimensions of the controller, added a touchpad, a share button to share videos or screenshots, changed the analog sticks, added a speaker, added a headset jack, added LED lighting for PS Move, and has new trigger buttons. Like the DS3, it also comes with rechargeable lithium batteries and has a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope.

Multiplats?Ā

PS4 will have them just like XB180 and according to DICE might even have the advantage here.

PS Vita?Ā

Will allow me to play games like Assassins Creed IV when I'm laying in bed or watching the news and hearing about the next xbox 180 in response to customer outrage or Sony's superior policies/hardware. It's also going to let me play most of those Indie titles you don't care about on the go.

PS3.5 visuals confirmed.Ā

Kool-aid drinker.

Yep. That about nails it. Am I missing anything?Ā

You forgot the 1 million plus pre-orders for the PS4 and the ridiculous number of reversals Microsoft has had for the Xbox 180. In fact, how can you or anyone else believe anything Microsoft says?

No. The better question would be...and this goes out to the most hardcore basement dwellers who reek of moth balls...The X1 gives me 10 times the value of the PSBORE.Ā

10 times the value? I'd like to see you back that up.

Better graphics, the best exclusives, Skype, NFL, Kinect, Cloud computing, the best controller just got better...etc. (I'll stop, cows are weeping milk in "udder disappoint")

That's unproven and won't be known for 1-2 years, also unproven, PS4 will have skype (Vita already has it) and how is this a selling point anyway?, I can watch the NFL on this thing called my cable tv, Kinect is a joke (which is probably why Microsoft 180'd that too), cloud computing hasn't worked at all in the PC world (see Sim City disaster) and creates many questions about how the game will perform with slow or no internet connection, and the "best" controller still uses AA batteries and costs as much as a controller that has 6-axis motion, a rechargeable lithium ion battery, and a touchpad. The xbox180 controller costs $75 if you want the rechargeable battery kit with it.Ā

SERIOUS QUESTION...Cows, you are trolling big time with the PS4 hype? Amirite?

This thread of yours is anything but serious, but at least you made it easy for me.

The PlayStation Vita now retails for $199 forĀ both its models, while the Nintendo 3DS XL retails for $199 as well. Do you think this will change the dynamics of the handheld war at all?

The following are facts to consider:

  • Vita Memory Cards still need to be bought separately; 3DS XL comes with a 4GB Memory Card included. More importantly, 3DS uses SD cards, Vita is still proprietary
  • Vita's library has become significantly better. Not getting into the question of whether or not it is better than the 3DS's library*, many people without Vita probably already have a significant amount of Vita games thanks to PS+. The 3DS library, on the other hand, is more original and holds more cachet with the buying public.
  • You can, in fact, get the 3DS for much cheaper than $199 if you decide to buy the basic model, which goes for as cheap as $150.
  • Vita is being billed as the perfect comapnion device to the PS4, which does have a lot of hype and recognition with the mainstream, even if the Vita itself doesn't for now

Given all of this, do you think the Vita now stands a better chance against the 3DS onslaught? We know the answer based on Japan as a testbed, where the Vita started selling better than the awful numbers it was putting up earlier, but it still sells a fraction of the 3DS. What do you think will happen in the west? If you don't own a handheld already, which one are you going to get now? Has the price cut changed your mind at all? Do you think Nintendo should respond with a 3DS XL price cut of its own?

I actually really enjoy my Vita. It's been an amazing device to bring with me on business trips or playing with when the TV is occupied. I think the main issue right now is the games which as of late that situation has improved a lot on the Vita but lets face it, there's really not a great racing game or first person shooter for the vita and most of the good games on the device have been ported to the vita and exist on other hardware. Overall though I think it's a great machine and with titles like Borderlands 2 coming to the Vita and remote play being a more significant feature on the PS4 I think the Vita has a real chance to gain market share.

[QUOTE="lockjaw333"] LOL!!! Yeah it is really ridiculous that they are modeling the final product after consumer feedback..... ???????

No it's ridiculous they are winning this current gen console war and they were that out of touch with what gamers wanted for xbox one. It's pathetic that people on this forum and the internet can tell MIcrosoft what their business plan should be versus Microsoft having a clear winning strategy made by themselves. And it's funny that people can quickly trust a company that was clearly against them but now "appears" to have had a change of heart on so many different positions.
