[QUOTE="Jrfanfreak88"]Another day another story about Microsoft changing their mind about something. Sorry but it's pathetic that Microsoft has to rely on the anger of current and/or potential customers to shape their xbox one strategy on a whim. If you looked up chicken with its head cut off in the dictionary you would see a picture of the xbox one.Ginosaji

I'm actually relieved to see them responding to consumer feedback. Though they are only doing it out of necessity, and they wouldn't do so if they already had our money.

Yes but how can you trust a company that says one thing and then says another? It's nice to see MS respond correctly to justified criticism but I don't get how anyone can put faith in any xbox one story when so many stories a few months back are now entirely wrong. Pretty soon they are going to say Kinect is no longer bundled/required, the price is $398, and the hard drive is upgradable. If Sony changed their minds like MS lems would be talking about it for years.

"Microsoft is considering another flip-flop, this time regarding the inclusion of a headset with the Xbox One.

As it currently stands, the Xbox One will not come with a headset, news which has been met with dismay by fans.

However, according to Microsofts senior director of product management and planning, Albert Penello, the company is reconsidering its position.

Responding to a Twitter enquiry on the subject by a woman with a rather interesting image history, Penello wrote, "We've heard the feedback. Looking into it."

Its hardly a strong indication that Microsoft is about to change its mind. But following the DRM and self-publishing turnarounds, we wouldnt discount anything."

No offense but it should had been bundled in the 1st place don't ya think?

[QUOTE="Playerpat0"] Screw gamestop! I bought used games a few times and any that required an online pass to play... they would stick the online activation card in the box and tell me "it will work" or "i think it is still valid." Get home... pop the game in and nope. Fork out another $10-$15 bucks and it cost more to buy used than it did to just download on Xbox marketplace. Used games need to die. Sharing and lending need to stay.

Well here's my response to that: 1) You should always assume that if you buy a used game you'll have to purchase the online pass. I ALWAYS buy a game NEW if it's only a few more bucks than the used version so that money goes to developers and I don't have to worry about the online pass either. 2) If it weren't for gamestop taking in and selling used games I would have missed out on many games this generation. Sometimes they have some amazing deals that you just can't pass up (I remember one time they were giving back an extra 50% on your trade ins so I got more credit for a game than what I bought it for). And considering Gamestop makes an insane amount of money every year my guess is a lot of people are buying used games still. 3) We have used movies, used music, so why do used games need to disappear? As a consumer I prefer to have some re-sale value to the things I buy. 4) Sharing and lending is going to be a hell of a lot easier on the PS4 than it is on the Xdone.

[QUOTE="Jrfanfreak88"]One thing I haven't seen discussed here is how retailers are going to treat the two consoles. Clearly the PS4 is more consumer and retailer friendly. Gamestop is going to LOVE the PS4, when you consider they've made billions selling new and used games I don't see how gamestop doesn't openly support the PS4 over that other console. Heck, any store that sells and buys used games has a clear choice on which console to cater to and it's not the Xdone.Ribnarak

thats actually a very good point.

Thanks! I just remember when gamestop started to cater more to the 360 and how that made me realize that the PS3 was in some big trouble competition wise. Fast forward to today and I don't see how the PS4 doesn't become the console of choice for retailers like Gamestop and Best Buy and any other video game store. Plus we have to think of the renting services like gamefly that were not happy at all about the xbox one's no-renting games at launch declaration. They now have the next-gen console of choice to do business with. The other elephant in the room is how microsoft is pushing this cloud computing thing. All I can think of now when I hear the words cloud computing is the Sim City disaster and I see some nasty situations for microsoft in the future. The craziest part to all of this is Microsoft has done this to themselves. Did they not see this coming? Did developers demand tightened security because of so many modded 360's? All Sony has really done is not change their current business model and they will be viewed as saviors of the video game industry from a gamer standpoint because of it. As a cow that has watched Microsoft bite into Sony's fanbase for years I don't understand why they'd publicly hang themselves like this. Gotta say though, if you're a cow like me this was the best E3 conference in YEARS just because Sony finally stuck it to Microsoft multiple times, but best of all when they did it they represented gamers across the world.

[QUOTE="Jrfanfreak88"]agreed. If all the lems can say is we're getting screwed for having to pay for online multiplayer I can't imagine how they must feel with the restrictions and cost of the new xbox. I feel bad for the lems though, I was in their shoes when sony's PS3 reveal was going down, but I must say it feels great to be on the side of victory after so many years of PS3 struggles.psn8214

I'm happy for ya dude. As a PC bro myself I'm definitely tempted to snag one.

I wish I could do the PC thing but I've had the worst luck with PC gaming. Buying games that won't work on the system and then once I get a system that can handle the game it's too new for the game (took me 6-8 hours the other day to get Fallout 3 to work on my new laptop, had to download mods just to get it to OPEN the game) so I'll always be a console gamer because of the simple fact that I know a game will or will not work on a console. That being said I wish I could get a sweet gaming PC that would be great for 5-8 years for $400 but I don't think that's going to happen.

[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]

I read this and all I got out of it is that because of how bad X1 is, cows lowered their standards which is blatantly the opposite of what they always claim. When gamespot wrote that article about PSN matching live for Free cows were going nuts about consumer rights and standards. Now it seems they have none. Hilarious. Pathetic hypocrits but still hilarious. They have no choice but to take it up the butt from Sony.

psn8214

If the PS4 = taking up the butt from Sony, where does the Xbone(d) fall on that scale? :o Might be too brutal to post...

Agreed. If all the lems can say is we're getting screwed for having to pay for online multiplayer I can't imagine how they must feel with the restrictions and cost of the new xbox. [QUOTE="Jrfanfreak88"]Lems best defense: HA now you have to pay to play online, just like we do! heretrix

It's a pretty solid defense after all of the whining about it this past gen.

Not really when lems said paying for online was not a big deal so I guess it's not a big deal now! (It makes no difference to me, I've had PS+ for over a year).

Lems best defense: HA now you have to pay to play online, just like we do! It's been a long time coming but Sony has finally destroyed microsoft at E3. Complete turn around from the last console reveals where Sony lost many fans with their $599 price tag.

Any thought on the design?rjdofu
I think it looks great actually. Being slanted and the light on top looks a lot more dynamic than the Xdone. Plus it has a similar looking finish to the original PS3 slim which mine still looks great right now.
