Yea like no one else in this thread brought up guns laws prior to me. Love the way you singled me out of all the other posters.

You're not reading.

I can read and see you targeted me with that comment when it could have applied to just about every other poster in this thread.

If it came from a security person on the base it would be a full M4 Assault Rifle, not an AR-15.

Sure and could be easily mixed up with the M4 Carbine variants which are even shorter than the AR-15.

Again, M4s are Ar15s.

Yea same thing. So are CAR-15s. All three of the same barrel length are virtually identical.

[QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]D.C. has some of the toughest gun laws in the nation. Not even off-duty police officers can carry a concealed firearm.Jebus213

Do you really have to turn everything into a left vs. right discussion? People like can never leave politics out of anything.

I suppose we could send all of our left overs to the fast food industry so they could pump all their weird preservatives into the food. Then we could send it to third world countries.

Food waste solved!

[QUOTE="Makhaidos"]If only the U.S. Navy had a gun; then this might never have happened.thegerg

I think you were attempting to make a joke, but what you said is true.

All military personal, except for MPs, are unarmed (1993 gun law).

So in this case the military literally had to call the police because the military personal had no firearms.

I still don't understand why people can't comprehend this. Do they think servicemembers just walk around CONUS posts all day carrying weapons?

Not even officers carry them on bases. So the people we allow to order 'fire' in combat can't carry firearms at military bases.

The armed security at your local courthouse is better than the average U.S. military base.
