@bfa1509: he's recovering from a back injury and is bedridden so he spends his time playing video games. What would that have to do with why he's been terrible lately?
@olddadgamer: To supplement Kyelo's statement, one of the biggest advantages of the paid sub is the fact you get freedom of choice: unlimited skips and choosing what song you want to listen to from a playlist instead of relying on limited skips and random or sequential playback. Also, if you're a student, you can get half off your monthly sub.
@FantomexX: Just buy discs like a normal person. You get better deals on them anyways. I have a handful of digital games but the majority of my collection (excluding digital only games) are on disc. I realize that some games install on the hard drive as well, but not all of them do.
@me3639: You call it "fooling casuals", I call it providing games for people who jumped ship from the Xbox 360 or didn't have any consoles last gen, which is a large chunk of the PS4 install base. 80% of PS4 owners never played an Uncharted game, one of the most popular PS3 exclusives. I'm sure a similar number exists for The Last of Us. It's the multiplatform rereleases that don't make sense like GTA, Darksiders, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, etc. but those decisions aren't up to Sony to dictate. That blame lies solely in the developers/publishers hands.
And not only "suckers" buy consoles. There are hundreds of quality console-exclusive games that arrogant "PC master race" elitists (the Nazis of the gaming world. all they want is consoles to die. you never see console people say PC should die; just the PC players.) will miss out on, and would probably love if they'd get their head out of their asses.
@xavier141524: All the games they mentioned were spectacular. Rocket League, Bloodborne, the handful of indies ( i played about half of em and they were all great, especially the talos principle), and then 2 very different styles of great horror games: SOMA and Until Dawn. If Uncharted 4 wasn't delayed, Sony would have had an even more incredible year! (but then again, it might have had problems if it wasn't delayed)
@cfscorpio: They added Twitch, revamped their console for no extra cost, added a handful of neat features (my favorite being suspend/resume. no more waiting for checkpoints), and improved the already intuitive UI. Spotify is great as well! They opened the 7th core, made sharing easier, added the share factory for advanced video editing (GS didn't mention that one), and added a bunch of features that are useful to streamers. It's hasn't improved as much as the X1, but c'mon, the X1 was total garbage at launch.
@Jawehawk-DK: I have the spring-loaded charging dock with 2 controllers. When one dies, I swap it out in a matter of seconds. Signing in with your account on controller 2 automatically logs out controller 1 so it works pretty seamlessly. And when you're not gaming, I put my controller on the dock so next session, it's fully charged. My controllers only die when I don't put them on the dock after I'm done (personal issue). That being said, I'm still yet to kill my controller in one gaming session. 7 hours is a long time. Also, you can dim the light bar. It's not apparently noticeable but I'm sure it adds at least 20 more minutes to its life.
@xcollector: The Wii U will hit that mark most likely by March or something and that's considered a failure. I doubt Nintendo will have 2 failures in a row. Sounds like Nintendo is confident, but I'm hoping it's not misplaced confidence.
