@Bexorcist: Nintendo owns the company so it was either the Wii U or bust. I am really excited for this game but I can't believe it comes out right before PSX! I have to wait til after the weekend to play it :(
@adsparky: They need to call Namco and make it happen, though I'm unsure what platform it would be on since Nintendo is the majority shareholder now. An HD remaster would make the most sense on PS4 (dev costs on PS3 would probably not even be worth it at this point), though Wii U could use the quality catalog addition.
It would be nice to have an option for Japanese language tracks, since the dub quality was all over the place and varied from game to game. Also, they need to uncensor the games as well. The content they censored was so unnecessary and on several occasions made the scenes incomprehensible (the removed blood in X3 was the worst). I've seen way worse in Teen games.
@dlCHIEF58: Exactly. A lot goes into making these songs. Lip syncing, choreography, 4 difficulties worth of note charts for 3 instruments and vocals, and making sure everything is synced up visually and audibly.
@darksynced: the PSP had an incredible library. Sony has made good mobile games before. The rise of mobile games on smartphones impacted the sales and public interest of the Vita. Good system, sparse library.
@Viral-venom13: The reason early PS3s could play PS2 games was not because they used emulation but because they had actual PS2 components in the system. That increased the cost of the system and they were losing the console war, so they had to drop the PS2 functionality to drop the price. They later added PS2 emulation but it was only for the titles they released and each game has its own configuration options. I know this because when they released Fatal Frame 2, it had all sorts of graphical glitches and they had to patch the emulation software.
Bottom line: Sony screwed themselves over big time by investing in the cell processor. It made for a powerful system, but even I, a Sony fanboy, don't think it was worth it in hindsight. I'm confident Sony would agree.
@wrestlemaniaw: It's too bad the best Medal of Honor was a PC exclusive (Allied Assault), but Frontline was a close second and I actually enjoyed the Pacific theatre one, despite it getting bad reviews. Forgot what it was called.
