@chillingnaire: If you power thru it and don’t enjoy it. First time I beat GTAV on PS3 it took me 50 hours but when I powered thru the main story it a second time on PS4, it took only about 25. Open world games are meant to be playgrounds to just explore and have fun with. But that’s just me, I dunno about you...
@attirex: Maybe if they released it now in it's mostly unfinished state, yeah. Just remember that NMS 2018 is actually a great game now. But CDPR won't release an unfinished game because they don't have corporate bigwigs hurrying them up.
Build the groundwork and then polish around it? I'm no game developer, but this seems unorthodox and probably a great idea. Thankfully CDPR has this kind of time flexibility, because most AAA studios don't.
@jamesbr27: Printing discs and sending them to retailers usually happens when the game goes "gold", which is uaually about a month or so before releasing. Where did you get a year from?
@restatbonfire: Please elaborate on what YOU consider hard then. Dark Souls is definitely well above average in difficulty. I was raised and seasoned on RPGs and action games and I struggled with most of the later bosses of Dark/Demon's Souls.
@srfilk86: The gameplay style is still similar enough to warrant comparison. That's like talking about The Last of Us Part II and not comparing it in some ways to Uncharted 4. Unless From starts making Armored Core games again (pleasepleaseplease), they're kinda relying on a tried and true ARPG sub-genre that the basically invented. Yes, I don't want a Dark Souls 4, but similar (but still innovative) gameplay style with a new theme is not a bad route to go.
