@Zero_Maniac: Graphical quality is fleeting and change from year to year. This time last year, PS4 was the most powerful console. Now the Xbox is. But ultimately, games are the reason why we play. Unless you don't care for the exclusive offerings or only tend to play 3rd party games, PS4 Pro is the way to go.
@Elranzer: If it's a fun game that doesn't RELY on microtransactions, and provides an option to work around them or earn premium currency through in-game means (like Pokemon GO does), then it's not so hypocritical. We'll see.
Every game needs a warning like this. I hear horror stories of kids who charged up their parent's credit card (just like in the Freemium Isn't Free episode LOL) just because they thought it was in-game dollars, not real dollars.
@dlCHIEF58: Is "SONY person" supposed to be derogatory or something? I'm still struggling to see what that has to do with anything. I play more PC game anyways, but I used to be an avid trophy hunter. It's not a dense statement when the information presented is misleading/incomplete.
@Atzenkiller: No physical media is an obvious contributing factor, but I do not know how their business model works since I don't work there, nor have I researched WHY they make so much money. I just know they do because numbers don't lie.
@Atzenkiller: PSN did get a hell of a lot better once they started charging for PS+, even before they made it essential for online on PS4. You must remember how utter crap the service was before 2012. I've been a PS+ subscriber for 4 years just for the "free" games. That was the original intent of PS+, not online access, and it was awesome getting a AAA game every month. I've discovered some real gems that I wouldn't have played otherwise. I don't even play online much. And cloud saving saved my life when my PS3 hard drive failed. I had a LOT of important saves. Just because Steam doesn't charge for their service doesn't mean that Sony and MS are evil and greedy for doing so. No one makes as much money hand over fist as Steam does.
ALSO: Sony doesn't charge you to download anything so your argument is null and void.
@dlCHIEF58: What does me playing Sony games have to do with anything? I have all the systems and play PC the most. You sound like a swell person. Definitely not judgmental or rude or anything...
@Atzenkiller: I'm totally fine with paying for the service if that money goes to improving their service. So far, it's still a few years behind XBL in terms of speed and reliability. Also, download speeds are crap. Took me over an hour to download a roughly 16gb patch...
