Im alittle worried about a temp reading Im getting on CPUID Hardware Monitor. Yesterday, I installed a new Motherboard, CPU and RAM into my computer and Iv been keeping an eye on the temps. Now Iv noticed the under ITE IT87, its telling me that TMPIN2 is 262°F. Does anyone know what it is its monitoring? I got this temp after playing a game for about 30-40 mins.

Iv just installed my new motherboard, cpu and ram. Im worried it may be overheating while running some games. My fans goes crazy, sounding like their going at their hardest. Whats some good programs I could use to keep an eye on my cpu, gpu, and basically all other monitorable temps.
Ok, so looked into the OCZ RAM and seems lots of people have nothing but trouble with it and this Motherboard, so I think I might go with this instead. I cant find anything bad about it on the net, but its not in the Compatible list for the MB either. Anyone able to confirm if this will run ok with this motherboard?
lol, the 4870 is being power with the 430W PSU at the moment, I was hopping to get away from having to get a new PSU straight away. I guess I'll just see how it goes once i get all the parts and if it doesnt run I'll know what I need to do. :P
So, Iv already got a PII 545 ready to go which I got from my mother in laws computer, But I dont have a AM3 socket Motherboard, So Iv decided to get this one, but i also dont have DDR3 so Im going to get these. Im planning on using everything I can from my current computer which means all up I'll have:
Case: Thermaltake Soprano
CPU: AMD Phenom II 545
*Motherboard: Asus M4A79XTD-EVO
*RAM: OCZ Technology OCZ3G1600LV4GK (2x2GB)
Graphics: Saphire HD4870
PSU: Thermaltake XP550 NP (430W)
The only thing Im really concerned about is whether the RAM is compatible, and if my PSU will be able to handle the extra 2GB RAM and a Duel Core.
So Iv pretty much decided this is what I'll be getting, but I would still like to hear any suggestions anyone may have. Will this be all compatible? Will I need more power? Is the RAM compatible with the PII? Anyway, thanks in advance.
the 870 chipsets are a little out of my price range at the moment. Iv basically got about $120 (US$107) too spend on the Motherboard, and $80 (US$71) on the RAM. Im thinking I may need a new PSU as well seeing how Iv only got a 430W at the moment, so thats any extra money I was able to put into the MB or RAM gone.
So Im upgrading my mother in laws cpu in a few weeks, and she's giving me her old PII 545, which will be a huge upgrade to my Athlon64 3200+, But im going to need to get a new Motherboard as my current ones a 939 socket. So Does anyone have any good suggestions on a decently priced AM3 Board? Im going to be running a HD4870 and 3 HDD's so its going to need to have at least 3 SataII ports. Im going to make the step to DDR3 Ram as well.
Was thinking of maybe getting this one, with this RAM. Looks ok?
Bumping so I might get a solution. Also, seems that with EVE the stuttering sound will only occur when the game is running full screen.
I've been getting stuttering/looping (Video Clips) sound in certain games for months now. It first started when I installed L4D2's Intro Movie a few days after its release. I tried looking for any info on how to fix it and couldn't find anything. So I Just gave up and figured it was L4D2 because no other games I had installed had this problem. Then When AvP came out I started getting the problem withing it, again it seemed to only be with video clips in the game. I eventually just figured it must be certain games on steam having the problem, so again I just gave up seeing how I couldn't find any fixes for it. Now Iv just installed EVE online last night, and its also getting this Stuttering/looping. Its really starting to frustrate me as I cant find anything that fixes the problem.
My hardware is:
Mobo: Asus A8N-Sli Premium (Onboard sound)
Graphics: Sapphire HD4870
Their the only 2 things that have anything to do with my audio, but if you need to know my other specs just ask. Im really hopping someone will be able to help me resolve this issue once and for all.
