I've got good news and bad news. I'll start with the good news! Over the weekend a lot of different things happened. One, my schools football team won state is what was easily the greatest football game i've ever seen. I don't even especially like football but i was jumping and screamin most of the game :D. Amazing... Maybe i'll go into detail on that later. Otherwise, if ur curious, just search skyline high school wins state in google and u'll probably find it. Also, I finally got time to really sit down and start playing all my new games :D. So I played a bunch of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and I LOVE IT!!!! It's a really great game. If you are a fan of Resident Evil or Light Gun games, you'll love it for sure. It's getting dinged a lot because it's short but in reality, it's pretty long considering it's 1) a light gun game 2) it's co-op and therefore has a lot of multiplayer value and 3) it has so many secrets and stuff that it'll take u forever to find them all without a guide. Anyway, it's awesome. Also I've started Trauma Center: New Blood and have gotten to chapter 2. It's really fun so far and pretty much follows the same formula as the first game. The voice-overs are pretty good surprisingly enough and the gameplay, despite being pretty much exactly the same, is still amazing. I'll definitely be writing full reviews for both of them when i finish.

On to the bad news. I've become swamped with homework and to put it simply, I won't be on at all until at least friday. I've got two HUGE tests on the same freakin day and I have an exit interview (my schools idea of a senior project) this week so i've gotta prep for all of it. So sorry if I don't comment on all ur guys' blogs. If you need to talk to me for whatever reason, PM me and i'll try and check in daily to see if there's anything. First of all, no i do not support Jeff being fired for his review. If that is the whole story, i think that's insane. Hey everyone! I've been seeing these around other places and I figured it might be kinda fun. Now that i'm getting my numbers back up, I decided to do a little Q&A for ya. Basically, you comment and leave me any questions you want me to answer and i'll answer them all in my next blog post.

*UPDATE* A lot of people have been PMing me about the whole Jeff thing and I want to send out my split-second answer. First off, I want to tell you what I'm pretty sure on. I know there are a lot of stories flying around everywhere and until anything is confirmed, this is what I believe is true for sure. Jeff was fired/let go/whatever because he gave the game Kane and Lynch a bad review after they put a lot of money into Gamespot.

Anyway, I want to throw out there that if this is true, I am absolutely disgusted by Gamespot. However, I won't make any judgments until something is absolutely confirmed. Regardless of what happened, I respect Jeff and wish him the best in whatever he does in the future. As for leaving Gamespot, well, thats a little more complicated. The only reason I stick around here is because of the people here. If the people leave, I'll leave. If the people stay, i'll stay. I have no feelings of loyalty towards gamespot or any other site. However, I have decided to make a stand against them in a small way. Honestly, Gamespot has been really crapping up lately and it's not just this incident. With all the mistakes and stuff they have been doing, I decided to cancel my Total Access account.

Ok everyone! I know it's a little late but I promised my top 10 list and here it is! I'm only writing a brief explanation for each one, nothin fancy cuz i don't really have time, sorry. If you want me to go further into why i chose one, just ask in my comments and i'll try to elaborate.

So to explain this, these are not necessarily my personal favorites, just the games that I think deserve overall, best game of all time. So basically, most revolutionary or just an amazing game that everyone loves. Yeah. Here goes.

10. Resident Evil 4 (GC) - A new take on the Resident Evil series has been recieved with some of the best ratings that a game can get. Probably the most popular game in the series, Resident Evil 4 will likely spawn a whole new genre melding of Survival Horror and Third Person Shooters.

9. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) - A new release, it's hard to say if it will last as long as say, Super Mario World? or other like games. Regardless, it's a great new mario game that gives new players a taste of what all of us saw in Super Mario World and 64.

8.Final Fantasy(NES) - In the age of dying RPG's, Final Fantasy revitalized the genre and without FF, it could well be dead by now. Thank you final fantasy!!

7. Chrono Trigger (SNES) - When they could just be rapidly spawning more FF sequels, Square decides to take a differentroute and makes Chrono Trigger.Gone are the days of random battles and welcome to multiple endings, theActive Battle system, and an unequaled storyline.

6. Final Fantasy VII (PS) - First fully 3D RPG with memorable characters that leave characters begging for more.

5. Half Life (PC) - Completely revolutionizing the FPS genre, Half Life brings some great new systems into the FPS genre that really make them what they are today. Halo's got nothin on the original Half Life :D

4. Super Mario World (SNES) - platforming at it's absolute best! This is the absolute best that 2D gaming has to offer (and that says a lot coming from a guy who grew up with Sonic the Hedgehog :P)

3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) - Zelda's first romp into 3D which doesn't have the best storyline but brings the awesomeness of Zelda to a whole new level.

2. Chrono Cross (PS) - Square does it again with a completely new battle system, new storyline, new world and everything is completely revolutionary. Why they haven't used the system again or made a sequel, i will never understand. If you haven't played this game, go get it on ebay, just be prepared to pay TONS for this incredible game.

1. Super Mario 64 (N64) - Yes I picked Super Mario 64 for the number1 game. Since it was the first real 3D game that really hit it big, you can argue that every 3D game is influenced by this game. And even alone, it is still an incredible game that everyone of all ages will enjoy. Not too easy, not too difficult and TONS of gameplay time. Don't even think of passing this up.

There it is, my top 10 picks! Again, if you want to hear any of them elaborated, just comment. I'll do some but i won't do all of them. As for ur holiday wishlist, if you haven't played these, here's ur list right here. All of them are more than worth playing and I promise you won't be disappointed. Peace friends.

Anyway, I was reading one of the reviews on GS, the one for Sin and Punishment, and I was so happy to see a Neon Genesis Evangelion reference! The reviewer says the main character turns into something "evangelion-like". It made me happy lol. BTW, if anyone has info on any of the eva movies, plz tell me! I think i heard that the live action one got cancelled or put on hiatus or something, but last i heard, the anime one was still coming out. Is that still the case or is it already out?

Also, I played Umbrella Chronicles finally but i only had time to play the first mission. It's pretty fun but i can tell it's more interesting with multiple people. I'll just chill on it until my friend, Randy can come over and bring his nunchuc (cuz i only have one :cry:). Until then! I still have Super Mario Galaxy to play! Right now i have 24 (?) stars but i'm only in the second world. I've been getting every star in each area before I move on. Every world i've played in, i've gotten every normal star and a few hidden. Then i've also done 3 comet stars. So idk where exactly that leaves me lol. I'll post later with a more exact number. Other than that, still a great game, i still highly recommend it.

In the real world, my older bro came back from college and he's already annoying the heck outta me lol. He almost broke my wireless connector for the wii which would have sucked and he's just been doing a lot of other really stupid things. Hey everyone! Glad to see you made it to part 2 lol. A couple things before I start. One, long story short, i got some surprise money today. Quite a lot. And I celebrated by getting Umbrella Chronicles. I haven't played it yet and idk when i'll get the chance to. So I'm pretty happy right now! I've got both Umbrella Chronicles and Super Mario Galaxy to play as well as Trauma Center: New Blood since that's next on my gamefly list. Wow that's a lot of games to play! But that's why we've got thanksgiving break right? hahaha. Anyway, my second and last thing before I start this blog is that I decided to make this a three part blog instead of just 2. Don't worry, i'm still going to go through 6-10 today. My last part will be just a simple list of what i think the top 10 should be. I won't explain my reasoning then, just say what i think. The reason i'm doing this is mainly because of what the amazingly awesome Mr. Manga said in my last blog. He said that Chrono Trigger should be in the top list and I COMPLETELY AGREE!!!!! IT SHOULD!!! So instead of simply criticizing the current list, i'll come up with my own. For those of you that were reading my blog when I made a list before, this one will be different so still check it out. Ok, time for 6-10.

6. The Orange Box (Xbox 360)

Yes I know, "But Katosepe... Number 5 was The Orange Box!" This is the most rediculous thing about this list. No matter what game it is, it shouldn't be on the list twice just because it's on multiple systems. That is stupid. I know system fanatics will say that 360 and PC are completely different things. No. They aren't. It is the exact same game and should be treated as such. Besides, the game really doesn't deserve to be on here anyway so this is an easy verdict.

Final Verdict: Undeserving.

7. Tekken 3 (PS)

Tekken is a great series, i won't doubt that. But seriously? Tekken 3... number 7 game of all time... I won't even give it the honor of going deeper into it than that.

8. Resident Evil 4 (GC)

Resident Evil 4. It does my heart good to see this up here. I've been a long time fan of the Resident Evil games ever since my friend brought over Resident Evil: Code Veronica for the DC so we could have a midnight playfest. Since then, i've played through all of the games except for the survivor series. Most were good but not incredible until the beloved Resident Evil 4 brought Leon back from the abyss in a badass new costume to kill some possessed spaniards. Everyone knows it's an absolutely amazing game but is it number 8 of all time? I think so.

Final Verdict: Deserving.

9. Super Mario 64 (N64)

I'm gonna give you all a little shocker. No, Super Mario 64 does not deserve number 9 on the list. It deserves at least top 5 for sure :P. There is absolutely no reason this absolutely revolutionary game should only be at number 9. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU GAMERANKINGS!!!!

Final Verdict: Undeserving. Should be a lot higher!

10. Half Life 2 (PC)

Ughh... this game is by far the hardest to judge. As i'm writing this, I honestly don't know. Hopefully, by the end of this stream of consciousness i'll have an answer for ya lol. Half Life 2 has been out for a long time and people still love it. That proves that it has passed the test of time for sure. Not only that, but it is widely regarded as one of the best FPS's to come out in a long time. However, did it make more of impact than, say, Halo? The storyline's not nearly as good, that's for sure. But this isn't a comparison with Halo, this is an evaluation of this game's merits alone. It does have an interesting storyline but could have been developed a lot further than it was. The gravity gun adds an interesting gimmick but is it any more than just that? A gimmick? Ok I've come to a decision.

Final Verdict: Deserving.

As most of you all know by now, Super Mario Galaxy has recieved the honor of number 1 game of all time on gamerankings.com. Since i'd never seen the list before, once i heard this, i had to go and check out what the top 10 games of all time were according to them. What I saw, really surprised me and inspired this blog. I'm going to go through the list of games, one by one, and evaluate if they really deserve their placing or not.

*DISCLAIMER* This blog is entirely my opinion and is just based off of my personal experience. Also, these are notreviews of the games, if i say a game does not deserve to be onthe list, it doesn'tmeanI think it's a bad game. Just notin the top 10 of all time.You can disagree if you want, just don't bash me k? woot! here we go!

1. Super Mario Galaxy

Ahh... Super Mario Galaxy. Just released and it's already gotten number 1 game of all time. Is this too hasty for them to do? Honestly, before I got it, i thought so. I was thinking that it had to just be a bunch of fanboy babble. Boy was I wrong. I just got the game about 2 days ago now and I already know that it definitely deserves to be on this list. The question is where? Does it really deserve number 1? I think it's far too early to say. The number 1 game of all time should be a game that lasts in spite of time. Since the game's only been out for a little more than a week, it's impossible to tell how long this game will last. So number 1? Maybe in the future, but for right now, i think there are other games more deserving.

Final Verdict: Undeserving of #1. Deserving of the list.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Honestly, I shouldn't have to talk much about this game. Almost 10 years after it's release and holding top game of all time for 9, it should be pretty obvious that this game is as deserving as any. I've never been too much of a Zelda fan, I'd go so far as to say, i didn't like Ocarina of Time. But there is no way that I can deny that this game has made more of an impact than just about any other game ever made.

3. Metroid Prime

Metroid Prime... this is a tough one. On the one hand, it was a huge shift for the metroid series, which is definitely influential in the gaming world, as well as a completely new take on the first person shooter genre. It's the first game i can think of that does a really nice job of mixing both first person shooters and adventure gaming. And this kind of revolutionary system is what makes a game truly deserving. On the other hand, it doesn't do nearly as good a job as Metroid Prime 3. But because it was the original and was the one that really revolutionized gaming. I have to give it a...

4. Soul Calibur

Soul Calibur, while a huge hit now, was practically unknown at it's release. Even fewer people know that it's a sequel to a playstation 1 game called Soul Edge. Most of you are probably saying now, "wow I didn't know that!" that further proves my point that this game was truly an unknown. This fact makes it ultimately, a very surprising win on the Top 10 games list. It proves that no fanboy or franchise reputation swayed this game's victory. In my opinion, it is the best fighting game out there and remains so even today.

Final Verdict: Deserving.

5. The Orange Box

For those of you that haven't read the top 10 list, this one will probably surprise you. I know it did me. I want everyone to know right now, that despite my opinion about this game being in the top 10, it's a great game that everyone should get. I do believe, however, that it does not deserve a place on this list. My reasoning is that together, these games are all great. Alone, they each would have been pretty good but not amazing. A compilation of a bunch of pretty good games, despite being an awesome value, does not belong on the top 10 games of all time list.

Final Verdict: Not Deserving

So I realized this morning, that even tho i have next to no money, I do have a bunch of old games that i can trade in! So anyway, after getting uber ripped off by EB games on trade-ins, I got Super Mario Galaxy. Right now, I'm up to 10 stars and decided that's a good benchmark to give my initial impressions of the game.

Before I start, i want you all to know that before the game's release and really, up until i started playing it, I was incredibly sceptical. I hear all the fanboys saying that it's the best game ever but i didn't believe it for a second. It wasn't really until I saw that it got number 1 on Gamerankings.com, upsetting a 9 year lead from Ocarina of Time, that I decided I needed to see for myself. I wanted to make sure it really deserved that number 1 title.

To be absolutely, perfectly honest, I don't think it deserves number 1. However, that said, i do think it definitely belongs in the top 5 games of all time. It is an absolutely amazing game. Controls was the first thing I worried about. How on earth will they manage to make the gravity actually feel right and make sure that you always feel perfectly in control? I still don't know how they managed it, but they did a great job. Not perfect, but great. I have had a few times where the controls got a little screwy but not nearly enough to criticise the game overall for.The graphics are possibly the best the Wii has to offer, despite the cartoonish appearance, and the music is great. The main thing I want to compliment them on though, is the amount of stars per world. I'm the kind of player that hates leaving a place before i've done absolutely everything I can there. In Super Mario 64, i hated how I had to play each and every world upwards of 8 times to finally move on. Galaxy completely fixed this problem for me. Not only did the lower the amount of stars available at each time per galaxy, but they made the galaxies so massive that each star feels like a completely different world. This also solves the problem of the game feeling like a copy of Super Mario 64. While it could be considered SM64 2, it's substantially better than the predecessor and feels truly evolved. If I had to give it a score right now, I would give it a 9.8/10. And for fanboys who are mad about my score not being a 10, don't be. I can pretty much guarantee that I will never give out a perfect 10. If you look through my reviews, you'll see that I gave Chrono Cross a 10 but that was written a long time ago. As for if SMG is better than Chrono Cross, i'll have to finish the game to be sure... Review will be up when I finish the game. Peace all!

Just a small post today. I've mostly gotten over my anger about the handicap system being changed for brawl and now i'm just trying to have faith in nintendo that they'll come out with the product that we've all grown to expect.

Anyway, my point is that I wrote a review for the new med sim for the DS, Lifesigns: Surgical Units. BE WARNED: It may sound harsh but I promise you, the game deserves every word and more. Anything I said previously about the game was simply false optimism. Hope my review will prevent you from making this 30 dollar mistake.

O! Also, just wanted to throw out there, my best video so far (FMA music video) has hit the 2000 views benchmark. I'm pretty happy about that. Hopefully i'll come out with something to rival that soon lol.

For those of you that read the latest smash bros brawl blog, i hope your as pissed as I am. If you don't know what i'm talking about read the brawl blog about handicaps. I'll give a run-down for those of you that missed it and don't want to go check.

If you remember melee, they had a pretty awesome handicap system that stuck you at 5 normally on a scale of 1-9. The lower you go, the easier it is to send you flying and the weaker ur attacks are. Obviously, vice versa if you go higher. Well, instead of that, now the handicap system has been completely axed for brawl and instead, they're just giving a damage handicap. This means you start with 50% or whatever you set it to every time you die. This, IMO, is FAAAAAR worse than what they had last time. In fact, the melee handicap system was one of my fav things about the game! My friends and I play Melee all the time and we always set auto handicap on. What this does is lowers the winners handicap and raises the losers handicap. This makes every game fair regardless of skill level and helps those of us that are better than level 9 comps, get even better at the game. I know that we always have an awesome time, even tho we're all pretty different skill level. Anyway, I can live with them taking it out, but i want my opinion thrown out there that it really should be kept the way it was before.

On to a happier topic, I got the game, Lifesigns: Surgical Unit from gamefly (i wish i had just waited for umbrella chronicles but w/e. That's my next game on the list) and so far, it's pretty entertaining. Not nearly as good as Trauma Center by any means, but still alright. It's basically Trauma Center w/o any training wheels, mixed with Phoenix Wright. You have to do all the "detective work" like Phoenix Wright has, where you basically go around to various places, talk with people and show them stuff to further along the story, then you perform surgery and diagnose people. The reason I said the without training wheels thing above, is also my main problem with the game. I haven't gotten very far but in the one surgery i've performed, an appendectomy, they basically expected that I knew how it was performed. There are no guidelines (unless you sacrifice patient health for a hint) and you are expected to know, where to cut, where to suture, and other advanced surgical stuff. In that sense, it can be pretty frustrating since they give you basically no guidance except for a "consultant" who "consults" you using the most advanced medical terminology possible. Even on that first mission, i had to use the concentration thing on every move since i had no clue where to cut or what to do.
