yes of course, its an MMO.

The good news, however, is that the first 20 levels are offline iirc. So even if you dont want to play online, it should be a good 10+ hours of gameplay.

I like this idea. If you are curious but dont know if you can commit to 15 bucks a month, they let you try it out for the cost of the game only.

And finish the campaign? Then I don't see the point of going online for anti-sosial guys like me. If you can't finish the game unless you're online, then it's not really worth the cost of the DVD...

no not finish the campaign. Its like, if the level cap is 60, you can do the first 20 levels offline.

Its not perfect, but its forgiving.

I mean, you buy any MMO now you pay for the cost of the game plus a month's subscription. If you dont like it, too bad...youre stuck with it for 30 days.

If you buy Conan, you dont need to subscribe right away. So you get a game that provides at least 10 hours of off line content (anyone who paid 50 bucks for CoD4 cant argue with this value imo) and, should you like it, then you can subscribe. And if you dont like it, well, just add it to your pile of games-I-wish-I-never-bought.

Like I said, not perfect, but an improvement.

*also, another thought. I guess Conan will have like 10 different classes or something. Having the first 20 levels gives you unlimted time to try out each class to see what you like. So you could spend months finding that "perfect class" for you to play. However, if this were a typical MMO that, if nice, gave you one free month you wouldnt be able to experiment with those other classes.

Like it's already been said, you are still online while playing the firsts levels BUT, you get the first 30 days free with the retail box.. So you'll still get your "free trial" without subscribing

Just why do they have to put it so dramatic ? I mean.. yes.. parents need to know, and that news could have been very interresting.. but why do they need to go on the SCARY side with all that credit card number stolen and the sex predator ?

Like if americans weren't scared enough... I mean come on.. Fox is just one among others that goes on bad propagenda to keep everyone at home and baricade their house !
